For something diferent try Inniskillin Ice Wine. It’s in Niagra-on-the-lake, Ont. It a dessert wine wine. Really sweat, but tons of flavor. Pricey, but tasting, I’m sure, is reasonable. I used to work for the company own owned it.

You have to search them out. Don’t buy Sutter Home or Beringer rośes and expect much. French rośe is usually dry and quite nice as a Summer sippe, and not too ecxpensive.Calif has good examples too, but you usually won’t find them on grocery store shelves.

Last time I checked Portugal was in Europe. And no, don’t fuck Calif. There are many great deals in Calif. wine. Many places besides Napa, and Sonoma. Try Sierra foothills, Paso Robles, and Monterey. There are dozens and dozens of choices under $15 that are great
