i barely play violent video games myself, but you gotta admit its pretty interesting that an outstanding big % of games is about violence. if plot was that important then point and click adventure games & visual novel games would be the most popular genres. and theyre not by a long shot.

reasons dont matter and thats the point. were playing these games because we get to kill people, not because were enjoying the plot. the plot is just there so that we dont feel guilty and can reassure ourselves that were not bad people with a sick taste for violence and murder

arent most AAA games about mass murdering?

thing is most soldiers didnt have a personal reason to be in the war so its not hard to get along with the "enemy" in such a situation

one big thing i never see people talk about when talking about the crap thats flooding steam is the fact that a big % of that crap didnt come from greenlight. it came from shady publishers that managed to get one game released ages ago and then they start flooding steam with crappy games that nobody can do anything…

personally i dont see why not. same with pornographic games / eroges. obviously they shouldnt just be in the main store page. they should just require some sort of ID to prove youre 18+ or something
