I was going to comment that these coats are VERY warm. Like much warmer than most of the well known adventure brand’s mainline down offerings (e.g. TNF, Marmot, Patagonia etc.). People can say what they want about goose down but it’s been an extremely effective insulator for decades and CG seems to do it better than

I spent a week in the Czech Republic and saw the new Focus that we will not be getting multiple times. We’re missing out. It looked great. Honestly, a DSG GTI is a damn near perfect value proposition. If you can stand a base model, it’s a serious bargain.

DSG or Manual? If you did 52k miles tuned on a manual that’s a god damn miracle and I’m not even trying to be funny.

Bethesda always gets the benefit of a hundred excuses. The bottom line is: does it work or not? Look at what R* did with the RAGE engine between GTA IV and V. There’s a huge leap in the capabilities of each game and they’re both ON THE SAME ENGINE. Bethesda defends themselves by saying they make unique games. Sure.

I have over a 100 mods and I didn’t have to “sift through 3,000 bondage mods”. I just sorted by # of downloads and avoided all the garbage. I never played Skyrim on console. After playing it with mods, I wouldn’t pay any amount of money to play it vanilla. Some may use it as an excuse but many others, including me,

Do it. The DSG is perfect for a tune. I didn’t tune mine because the stock clutch is made out of tissue paper. People were reporting slippage due to tunes at less than 15K miles. I lowered mines with VWR springs and put slightly wider wheels/tires with sticky rubber and did a few creature comfort mods like a clutch

I always say that the MK7 (and MK6) GTI is the most car that most people need. Even all those people sitting in traffic in CUVs. I sold mine for a Mustang and I love my pony but I miss my GTI every now and then. If I had got it in DSG I’d still have it I reckon.

I wear pleats because I have a big butt, thank you very much!

I wish Abarths were cheaper, more reliable, and more available (there’s literally not one within 500 miles of me last time I checked), because if they were, I’d own one right now.

If I actually had a realistic run at POTUS, I think I would consider this too (not saying I think MA will be POTUS, just a hypothetical situation here). I mean if I can seriously run for POTUS, I can certainly find many other positions that are powerful and lucrative that allow me to drive cars. I still view the POTUS

The S550 has driveshaft problems too. I know on the forums a ton of people have complained about the 60mph “wobble”. And anyone that’s pushing more than 500hp on a stock driveshaft is asking for trouble. My V6 actually has the 60mph wobble problem but I’ve just learned to live with it. I didn’t know the 3.7 could cook

The NSX is for the same type of person...just the executive instead of the middle manager. The NSX might be the most boring supercar on sale right now. Is it a great car? Sure. But compared to all its competition, it’s the most sensible of the bunch and who buys a sensible supercar?

What’s more prohibitive when it comes to the trans: sourcing one or the price? I’m just curious.

Volkswagen was using a B5.5 Passat shift lever in a Bentley not too long ago. I get the point you’re trying to make, but if you want to go into a part sharing rabbit hole, man, there’s some real shockers out there.

The target market for this doesn’t look past the lease special. This is a nice Civic for people who are convinced that their friends will think they’re more fancy because they got the ILX instead of the Civic.

Shit dude, pass that.

The manual thing is a dead horse, especially ‘round these parts, but damnit, you’re so right. This car is like the patron saint of manual purity. Put it on an altar and allow me to worship it, for I know no other gods.

Imagine playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on the couch and your roommate’s 240* comes flying through the wall because he/she overcooked it on a corner.

Road tripped to Toronto with buddies a few years ago (first time in Canada) and we stopped in Grimsby to get gas, hit the bank. Bank teller might have been the nicest person I ever met, she broke down some Canadian basics for us and explained the exchange rate. Naturally, she asked where we were going. It was like

Idk man, I betcha a lot of those 20 something hippies in the 60's had some pretty silly plans for their futures.
