Jennings never actually made that bet, to the best of my knowledge; he was just responding to a joke about the idea that he did. The bans are real, though; they were apparently added to the contestant briefings over the last year or so.

I am having problems fathoming how Jennings, a practicing Mormon, made 69 jokes on national television.
The trick with FTL flight is that while technically no matter can travel faster than the speed of light in our universe without violating general relativity, theoretically space itself can be moved at superluminal speeds by some external force, and that self-contained space can contain matter...meaning that for all…
it becomes almost inconceivable that the technology will ever exist anywhere to allow for convenient intersteller travel.
Ahem... nothing that we currently know of can travel faster than the speed of light.
I’ve heard the “it would be arrogant to think we’re alone” line a bunch in the past two weeks. The unlikelihood of intelligent life visiting earth isn’t so much in that there isn’t any out there. Most physicists would tell you that it’s a near certainty that there is life outside our solar system. It’s the extreme…
Clearly every fighter pilot has hallucinations.
There have been hundreds of reports from commercial pilots over the decades. Traffic controllers as well. And that’s just the ones that have been verified with real evidence.
Actually, not how it works. Presidents are still only included in certain need to know basis. This has been called one of those instances. Look at it this way, president is a figurehead who can be replaced every 4 years. Generals and others who oversee black ops shit are lifers. It allows for plenty of deniability…
Being privy to the info isn’t the same as knowing it. Unless they provided the information on a single page as a graphic, or a short bulleted list of short sentences, the president wouldn’t be able to parse it.
You are assuming they are telling him everything and not outright lying to him.
If there were aliens known to the US government, 45 would be privy to the information, and he would have blurted it out by now.
You are correct. Healthcare.gov is the ACA/Obamacare enrollment website, and enrollment is open right now.
Correct. Furthermore, to add another layer of trolling, one of the only things Trump succeeded in doing to combat the ACA was removing funding for outreach and advertising, while also shortening the enrollment period. So Kimmel not only “rebranded” the ACA as Trumpcare, he’s also giving it free advertising.
(The Trump fans will REALLY hate that as it illustrates how stupid many of them are.)
Okay, let me make sure I’m unpacking this correctly as a Canadian.
Nah, that was a result of us being so stupid. You’re thinking of November 7th, 2000 at the absolute latest.
You sir are the problem.
