Speak for yourself. It makes a huge difference on the highest difficulty. Not to mention being able to maybe equip more abilities, have more ability points and can equip better gear. It makes just as much of a difference in this then in any other game unless your playing on easy.

Most quests have a level recommendation. I think I’m half way through the story line and the only ones with no clearly stated level were at the beginning or have multiple wide spread goals.
