Personally, I think the change of direction occurred because of the overlap between Paper Mario and Mario/Luigi IPs. I can get behind a Monster Hunter movie. Not sure of many general audiences will get behind hunters hunting for parts to forge better weapons and armor though to slay bigger game. Works in a video game. Movie version sounds like something PETA would be protesting.

eh, I think they have time considering D2 duties were passed to another studio. I think Bungie is focusing on keeping players and content until D2 is closer to completion, then switching into D1 ending festivities.
