Side note: since this game gives you two starters—one from the new generation, and one from the original generation—you might want to coordinate between them. If you have your eyes set on Charizard, for example, it might not make sense to pick the fire starter at the beginning of the game!

Do people forget that retailers usually have a clause where they may refuse service to a customer for any reason? I think it is within shopto's right to cancel the customers preorder if it is a customer they would want none of.

yes, a couple months ago. no longer required to be attached for the system to function anymore. again, this is all done with the day one patch. still comes with the system though. so no way getting around that.

didnt ever say I was using kinect.

thankfully not getting Xbox One, second I wouldnt ever use Kinect if I did. this is more of a way to troll people who are using the kinect and not using the headset.

if you arent using the kinect, then no. hence why I said to see who isnt using the headset.

Nah, I imagine it will already be fun to scream Xbox Off into the mic in CoD matches to see who isnt using their headset and has chat audio out of the TV's speakers.

see WoW... not exactly the best of ideas.

see, I down for that. Pokemon concept artbook. Artbooks are hella nice to have.

doubt it, as soon as they release a handful of "rejected" pokemon, then fans will be petitioning, scream, and whining to add those pokemon to the next pokemon game. This is just one of those things that will always remain a mystery. They have their process and dont need it to be interrupted by outside influences.

Fahey, appreciate the rather...in depth write up. I know the games are targeted towards younger children, would this game still be fun for adults to indulge as well? Barring the "gotta have them all" attitude that some collectors get with stuff like this.

it's more like, you preordered in june with pretense that they promised launch day delivery then they come back to you a month before release being like "sorry, cant guarantee launch with your standard console, but if you spend more money and get one of our bundles, you will be guaranteed a launch console then." which

sorry, just overgeneralized the slide. but the point is that a lot of it would just be objectionable content. something Sony doesn't want to deal with or even want to look like they promote. so better to not allow it.

eh, sure.. it was an overgeneralization. but a lot of the stuff in there would just be content that would insult or hurt races or people and end up being objectional. not something sony wants to deal with. GTA would be fine to be indie published. not much different than Hotline Miami 2, content why not art wise.

only one that comes to mind was GTA San Andreas when Rockstar left the objectional content on this disk that was accessible via mods. Retailers had to change it from M to AO. Other than that, no game would be allowed to get published on a console with an AO rating.

This just warns of anything that might be given an AO rating. which any manufacturer doesnt even allow to be licensed or published on their consoles.

first, ok i'll give you most of that argument about money. the math and logic look sound.

depends if the dev already made their money back from the game or not. if they have, pretty much just free money for them(outside of valve's cut). if they havent, then they need to sell more copies at the lower price point to make their money back.

I can tell you PC version undersells compared to console version of CoD. To Microsoft, CoD is the system seller for them. doubt it would cost $500k to port it, considering it cost $200mil just for console version, I can imagine it costing another few mil to port it to PC. If it was really that cheap to port it to PC,

digital only saves on the cost of materials. it doesnt save on the cost of dev production. devs spent time making it, that time isnt free. If they sold a game for $60, they would only be making a bigger profit off you from digital vs physical.
