Well, she was getting closer to Sisko, & at some point they got engaged. She could have just spent more time around the Bajoran sector. It's reasonable enough in the show's context, & anyone who's watched the first two seasons of 24 knows that Penny Johnson can handle more screen time.
Everything that Worf tells Wesley about Klingon mating rituals is comedic gold. They really nailed his character in that episode, & it set the tone for him for the next ten years.
Well, they can always replicate replacements. I'll bet Federation officers periodically get cathartic in their quarters & smash up the joint. Post-scarcity economics is great for stress relief.
