That would have been awesome to see!

Bereil is too bland to hate. It's like getting angry at beige cardboard.

That's an underrated, understated good episode. It walks a fine line between light-hearted & silly, striking an effective balance throughout. It also maintained its light mood, despite the seriousness of its circumstances, & it didn't come off as implausible or a gross mood shift from surrounding episodes. Overall, a

I've heard the dolphins mentioned before (in the TNG Technical Manual, I believe); it's a shame that we never saw them. Then again, SeaQuest DSV had a dolphin, & he was annoying as hell.

That… got… weird…

You'd raise a glass to the lights flickering. Your drinking puts Damar to shame, my dear waitress.

We all do, but the rules against performance-enhancing drugs also technically bans the use of ketricel-white.

Well, if you look at McCoy during the pilot of TNG, it looks rather doubtful that he'll be making it to 140, while the Klingon KKK team (!) may be past their prime, but are still in decent fighting shape. That may be a small sample size, & there may be explanations for the disparity, but the audience is left with the

Yeah, I feel the same way about Babylon 5. Both shows did amazing things for a while, & then failed to stick the landing, like an Olympic gymnast who performs a flawless routine on the bars & then lands on their face at the end. It's quite sad, really.

There are many cases in which killing someone is the most logical thing to do. most often, this is only logical/beneficial to the killer, but sometimes it is logical/beneficial to the greater good.

My wife slowly bought me the entire series on DVD, & we watched every episode… except BBBB. She was sick of Vic by then, & she refused to sit through it. I still haven't seen it, & I have little desire to complete my run on my own.

Well said, & it works for that reason. It is indulgent, but it doesn't wear out its welcome like Vic & the Mirror Universe eventually do. If we had had to watch 1d6 more episodes about baseball, it would have been infamous.

Also, Kira is Bajoran, & they appear to still use some kind of square-shaped pictograms (knowing them, the same ones that they've been using for the last 100,000 years). It would be awkward to sign a ball with one or two of those.

I've said it before, & I'll say it again: Ezri should have had a different job. What job? I dunno, but almost anything would have been better.

The Trek franchise does not have a great track record for comedic episodes, but TMOTTH is one of the better ones, but far. I'd still say that Trials & Tribbelations is the best funny episode, but Take Me Out is kinda close.

That's as plausible a reason as we're going to get, IMO. If we humans ever form a federation with aliens in real life, we will likely have such wildly divergent biological needs that it won't make much sense for our species to cohabitate on ships for extended periods.

Good memory (alpha)!

Which is really bizarre, because ambassadors are known for their diplomacy. I mean, it's like, their entire job! It would be like a counselor who only gave obvious advice, or a security chief that was always getting beat up, or an engineer who was paranoid, nervous, & twitchy, or a second-in-command who was a drunken

Yes, but this episode is a part of a growing pattern of Vulcan-assholery that would culminate in Enterprise, where Dickishness is pretty much one of their main hats.
