You can't slam what's not there…

Which is kind of a shame, because Rejoined was, by far, the best Dax episode they ever did. I thought that they needed more Dax shows to illuminate just how weird having a symbiont could be, & how Trill culture was shaped by that weirdness.

Which is why they don't HAVE a contemporary Trek show.

Can't your engineer yell that they're COMPENSATING, & presto, it works?

As I've said before, the role that he is best at is "Avery Brooks, Totally Not a Madman".

Yeah, to the Prophets, all of their existence is simultaneous. They are/were/will be, all at once. They see the entirety of the diamond that is their life, not just one facet of the crystal at a time. So, of course, "when" they encounter a linear being, who can explain to them what linearity is & means, it is

Hey now. Garak is awesome because he is Garak, not just because he has neck ridges & a spoon on his head. Ziyal couldn't make any scene better via her presence alone, nor can Damar, or even Dukat. Garak is… Garak. Plain, simple Garak. Species be damned.

Sad Worf almost makes me want Mad Worf back.

Yeah, mind reading in a movie/show is like Divination in a tabletop RPG like D&D: you're not gonna learn anything that the writers/DM doesn't want you to know. Knowledge-based powers make for very handy tools, but are terrible for drama.

"Trek's heart is in the right place."

Guinan could tell from Troi's wardrobe & hair that she had no sense of taste.

I liked Chrysalis, actually. Although it tends to get bonus points in my book because Sarina Douglas is very pretty…

"Oh, Heaven's gonna be great! You'll hang out on clouds, wear white robes, play harps with angels, fly around God's head. It's gonna be awesome! Your dead pets are gonna be there, & your gran-ma-ma, & that cute chick in high school that you had a crush on before she got hit by a car during spring break!

Well, the problem with Quark is that his episodes increasingly became Ferengi Episodes, which meant that anytime the camera turned toward him, his entire SPECIES showed up to do some semi-wacky Ferengi hi-jinx. That was basically fine, except he got frequently sidelined in those episodes by Rom, Nog, Zek, Brunt,

I would disagree that the Borg are incapable of moral decisions. Just because they are a collective doesn't mean that the hive mind gets off the hook for the shit that it orchestrates. The Borg have an ethos that dogmatically believes that they are doing people a favor by assimilating them. They/It think(s) that

Yeah, Bashir is almost acting in season 7 like he skipped seasons 2 through 6.

Yes, it's a horrible, vile thing for the Prophets to do, a violation of a woman's rights on every conceivable level. According to our moral & ethical standards.

Yeah, see, that's the thing. Sisko ISN'T the Chosen One, & anyone who says otherwise doesn't understand the plot. He wasn't Chosen for anything. The Prophets/Wormhole Aliens/Atemporal Assholes didn't chose him to do anything. They needed a person to do some things, so they MADE that person. That's a very important

Nothing is "too meta" in the face of something that awesome. We would be raving/debating about that scene right now, had she been in it like that. It would have been a CMOA for the series.

Damar was the star that we didn't know the show needed until he was there. I've said many unkind things about Season 7 & the writers/producers that made it happen, but Damar's arc was an unqualified success. Maybe not a ball hit out of the park, but a solid triple that got a couple guy across home plate.
