It’s disturbing they stopped denying the allegations and have the luxury of focusing on the “leaks”

This isn’t about impeachment. Removing Trump from office is pretty much a bridge to nowhere unless he really is compromised by Putin.
No, the full defense seems more like, “This information was all illegally leaked by nasty illegal leakers who should be prosecuted! Also, it’s all made up. And even if I did collude with the Russians to undermine the election, I still won by a huuuuge margin. And even if I did obstruct justice, it’s ok because I’m…
Sounds like the defense of another high profile case recently
Not to take anything away from anyone that has summited Everest, but
“banishing cultural appropriation” appears to be a term the author came up with get clicks and comments.
Sadly, this is about as effective as calling your representative on this one.
Calls are most influential if your senator is one of the Republicans who are writing the bill.
Is it really an insult when the person raging at you has no idea what those words mean?
“I find this totally disrespectful and dishonoring of the position of the president. Even more so, the concern is that it’s bringing ugly national partisan politics into our community.”
That’s basically what the article is suggesting. Make it clear that your answer is not going to change regardless of how many times the same question is asked.
The asked and answered tactic should only be used if they ask the SAME question multiple times. When my daughter started the why stage, I answered every single unique question as thoroughly as I could. We went deep into topics like physics, biology, chemistry, quantum mechanics, cosmology, and even general relativity.…
I frequently handle conflict between kids like a courtroom. I have each of them present their story and any corraborating evidence. Sometimes even let a witness speak. I ask a few questions, deliver a verdict and sentence.
It takes discipline but it does actually work. It’s not about the logic. It’s more simple than that. Not only is it holding strong on your initial decision, but even engaging with them on the topic and giving them the attention on the subject over and over again is a reward for them.
The tactics are not mutually exclusive. After you’ve dealt with the emotions behind the question and given an answer, odds are the kid is still going to ask the same question again even if everyone completely understood all of the emotions behind the request and all of the reasons behind the denial. That’s what kids…
Definitive physical evidence showing him as a liar on even the most trivial things has never stopped him before. I highly doubt there are any recordings but you give Trump far too much credit by saying he’s smart enough to not record conversations because it could be used against him later.
You are talking about technically illeterate people who think the internet is a series of physical tubes and someone that thinks “the cyber” can be easily solved by his 10 year old son.
It’s just theatre to try and make it look like they are keeping him in check without actually doing anything or standing up to him.
I really miss the days when the week’s most controversial thing about a sitting president was the color of his suit.
