Well, I never really played Metroid, so maybe that explains my inability to describe it properly!

Huh, interesting. I guess maybe it's a "first love" sort of situation. I was just taken aback by Demon's Souls, because it came out of no where. So I had really high expectations for Dark Souls, and maybe I remember Demon's Souls through rose-colored glasses.
Yeap! It's I-70 through Glenwood Canyon.
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I am dedicated to savings. About 1/4-1/5 of our total income (after taxes) goes into savings. But 4 years is a huge amount of time. That's 4 years of rent that's not going to anything. 4 years of inflation. 4 years of home prices increasing. 4 years of mortgage rates increasing.
I agree 100%. I haven't been able to figure out how to describe the game to friends successfully. I can never seem to accurately describe what I love so much about it.
Play Demon's Souls first. To me, it felt more refined (though not as large in scope) than Dark Souls. Once you're hooked on Demon's Souls, then play Dark Souls, then play Dark Souls II. Basically, if you play Dark Souls II first and end up loving it, then you're going to want to go back and play the other two, but…
I agree. Walkthroughs and build advice dramatically cheapen the experience. The best part of the game is the immersive atmosphere, and the feeling of entering the unknown against great odds. That's kind of ruined if you know what to expect.
I agree, it's difficult, but in a relaxing sort of way (at least to me). Being successful is based on patience and thought, not frenetic button mashing or something.
I felt the same way. Absolutely loved Demon's Souls, but Dark Souls wasn't quite as good/fulfilling/engaging. But I'm still really excited for Dark Souls II, and just picked it up at Redbox. I got a PS4 too, so I kept my Xbox 360 around just for this game.
That's the reason I try not to read articles/comments on games I really like or am looking forward to. I don't want it to influence my thoughts on the game. When I played Demon's Souls a couple months after it first came out, I hadn't read hardly anything about it. All I knew was the it was an RPG that was supposed to…
Magic always makes it too easy. Magic is cheating. Mostly because I don't like magic, and always go for melee only.
Question for those of you who are playing already:
Am I the only one who thinks 20% is unrealistic (and maybe unwise)? For instance, the house we just bought was $227,500. So 20% would be $45k. That would have been about 4 years of all of our savings. With house prices on the rise, inflation, etc., how much would we really have saved by waiting that 4 years? By the…
Yup! To me, it's the prettiest stretch of interstate I've ever been on.
I would totally do that! But there seem to be rules on what vehicles you're allowed to enter. As far as I can tell, there aren't any really "open" classes.
Interesting, thanks!
I don't think that's the only way to do it. Plus, if it were based on the Highlander it would kind of defeat the purpose.
I think that just means they need to update it, not cut it all together. It's been essentially unchanged for 8 years. The major problems with it are gas mileage and interior space. I think it just needs a redesign.
I agree with Wind Waker. It's clearly the best, because it's not dependent on increasingly powerful hardware. Graphics that look good solely based on the fact that they're cutting edge will look dated as soon as the "cutting edge" moves on.
