I always wanted to do an Exocet for just that reason!
I always wanted to do an Exocet for just that reason!
It's a popular mod, so I'm not really trashing it, just never quite understood it. I guess It's just not my cup of tea. But, it's still a good looking car!
Haha, makes sense considering that was on the of the pictures I took when I put it up for sale. :(
I moved here in late July 2013. I mostly saw them downtown in the Cherry Creek area, which is a pretty affluent part of town (roughly equivalent to Midtown or Buckhead I guess). I see them in other places too, but the highest concentration was there.
Huh, that's surprising. Maybe I was just in the wrong neighborhoods.
Nah, I didn't consider it elitist. Everyone has different ideas about what "disposable" is. Even people who make the same amount of money. It has more to do with what your priorities are than how much you make I think.
Most recently I lived in the Kennesaw area, but I used to live and work in the Alpharetta/Johns Creek area. My in-laws still leave in that area, so I'm there occasionally. Maybe I just always managed to miss them... But when I first moved to Denver I was surprised by how common Teslas were.
Not bad, but I have to say I've never understand the appeal of the polished hood...
My thoughts too. I always assume, in situations like this, that it was some redneck with too much time and a couple cars just sitting in the yard rusting.
It's approaching disposable levels, but not quite there. At least not for most people I think. I tend to think of "disposable" as under $1.5k. Once you start getting higher than that, you can actually get worthwhile vehicles, like Miatas or something.
$3k is too much for something that's only draw is novelty.
I dunno... I never saw a single Tesla when I lived in Atlanta. Moved to Denver and I see them all over the place now. I did see a few Fiskers in Atlanta though...
Yup. A moderately equipped Outback (one step over base) is ~$26k. For $30k I can see a lot of people making the leap to a Tesla. If your commute is short, than your operating cost savings would easily outweigh the increased monthly payment.
I'd be more concerned about the snow/ice/slush that collects from the road and freezes while driving. That shit freezes into a solid block that's not going anywhere until spring.
Interesting, thanks!
What classmates? And what class project? I don't even know what you're talking about now, and you have nothing to back up your claims. Obviously current accomplishments don't stack up to those by previous generations, yet. There hasn't been enough time.
Give me a break, are you just trolling? There is a massive difference between "self-importance" and "self-defense." You claim we haven't accomplished anything, and I try to explain from my experience why that isn't true. And all you take from that is self-importance?
Well, first of all, iPhone apps can be pretty impressive in their own right.
But then you can use them to measure heat as well!
