I'm not saying we had it the worst in history or anything. But compared to the people who are the ones consistently trashing our generation? Yes, I think we had it worse.

Good call. Twice the America.

That's a good point. But it brings up an interesting question: what is the most American car of all time? I nominate the Jeep Wagoneer.

JC Whitney ruined billet and "custom" in general.

That's pretty cool. Can it actually tow? If so, I respect that guy.

I agree. Start at $45k, add $10k for your embroidery and special grill or something. Then you get the same look in a great truck, for cheaper. I have no idea where they spent the $25k in customization, or why they started with the most expensive F-150.

Yeah, I'm not sure what exactly is increasing the price that much. Some TONKA stickers and embroidery and a modest lift?

Body lifts are the better choice in some applications. At least that's what the forums say about my Xterra.

Why can nobody get truck wheels right? I don't understand. They always have to throw chrome on there, or stupid faux rivets or bead locks, or they look too skinny and flimsy. I want my truck wheels too look utilitarian and actually hold up to real work.

I was guessing Pinto, but Gremlin works too.

Yes. I doubt a doctor wants to say "you have a tumor the size of a VW." That would frighten the patient. Instead, he says "you have a tumor the size of a grapefruit. A large grapefruit."

Doesn't that seem virtually impossible to calculate though? There are so many factors, effects with multiple causes, etc. It seems like it would have an accuracy of +/- 75%

That's how they're getting that $300k a year payout for a happy marriage.

I was incredibly confused by that part especially. Where the hell are they pulling those numbers from? And what are they even supposed to mean?

"We love to stoke the Ford guys a little bit" said Ken Lingenfelter, good-heartedly.

Next we'll get the FW:FLEX

That is kind of what I've suspected. I think most guys assume the women in their lives don't have any interest in learning to do it, and figure it's easier to just do it themselves than try to teach someone.

I didn't even realize you could do that. Where would you get that done?

Interesting, I'm sure you might run into that problem with quite a few cars. My wife's Outback (used to be mine) has a CVT, and it can be difficult to keep it slow on steep mountain roads too.

I agree, I was thinking along the same lines. But at some point you'd think people would be aware of it. I mean, I can tell I'm already thinking less of teenagers and I'm only 25. But at least I know I'm doing it and can make a conscious decision to be objective.
