Did the switch hold back the industry? If not then I don’t think this truly holds water as justification. Switch has a much larger install base than all xbox one/series consoles combined. 

I’m betting that Split screen is still on the table for series S just will be coming later rather than at launch. That would let Microsoft keep parity between the two while allowing the game to release.

I think if you just read Larian’s actual PR on this it doesn’t seem likethey’re trying to scape goat Xbox through the S at all. They want splitscreen to be there, they are unhappy with the performance of it across the board, and so they (an independant studio) are choosing to delay it and focussing their development…

The obvious outcome is that the merger isn’t violating any antitrust laws. “Consolidation is bad mmkay” isn’t a valid legal argument. MS doesn’t have a monopoly in the relevant markets and the merger won’t change that. The merger doesn’t hurt consumers in any ways that aren’t already happening regularly through…

I felt the same way about GTA, Spiderman and FF for quite a while.......weird that it is only a thing now that it is happening to PlayStation?!?!

the original xbox controller has been my favorite console controller of all time.  i really wish they still made them.  n64 controllers were good too. 

I’m wondering how they’re going to handle the controls of 2 and 3. They had mechanics that utilized the pressure sensitive face buttons of the PS2 controllers, so they were quite integral to the experience.
