Lincoln-Locker the rear diff and you are set for all but the worst trails. Seriously—this thing could go to many of the trails were it in Denver, CO instead of PA.

Please tell me what you find with the cooling. I am in the exact same spot with my 4.0 ZJ. No idea why it’s overheating.

AM radio on the way to the suburbs? Hmm. This is why Staten Island and Long Island are so conservative.

When I moved to the mountains of Bailey Colorado in 1997 these X90s were everywhere. And by everywhere I mean that there were probably half a dozen I saw. The marketing types might think yuppie, but the people in mountain towns are very practical.

Don’t know if it’s as good as a 1M, but 135i s are cheap. They’re in the low five figures. In the words of Tavarish why buy a used Miata when you could have a 300 hp BMW with the same age and miles for $3,000 less?

My 40k mile 135i convertible with the twin turbo was acquired for $20,000 and is now like $14k. So, the platform, at least, doesn’t seem popular at all. It’s all about the M.
