I rode one for a couple of years through college, and had a friend who did too, there were maybe a dozen or so people who rode them to school. It’s a ton of fun, especially in the winter. If I lived in the same town that I work I’d definitely still be riding one.

Oh there are, no doubt, but these people are not enthusiasts. This is just a group of idiots who happen to have access to a couple bikes and quads. They clearly don’t give a shit about the machines.

That is illegal, helmets are required for people under 18 here. I get your point though it would be a little strange seeing an ATV in traffic for the first time.

Winter is half the fun of owning an ATV, what if I just make winter about two months shorter?

A lot of the local little towns here have snowmobile trails that run right through them, I just need to buy a snowmobile.

k

I’m conflicted about SxS, I love them because they’re stupid fun, but they seem to attract a lot of people who just want to tear shit up (which, I mean, is fun, but not cool).

Come to South Dakota where quads are road legal* and I can ride them year round.

In no fucking way are these assholes motorcycle or ATV enthusiasts. You wouldn’t call them enthusiasts if they did this in cars, so don’t lump them in with the actual motorcycle and ATV enthusiasts either please.

In the late 90's, early 2000's down the road from us someone my dad knew had a black ‘66 or so F-100 that was well used, but clean. He still used the truck basically as a daily well into the early 2000's. I don’t know what it was about that truck but I loved it. I would go on the couple mile long walks with my parents

$2,000, not much to go wrong here besides the outboard.

Depends on what kind of boat you want I guess, there’s loads of decent fishing boats in my area for well under $3000.

I’ve been window shopping decent older fishing boats for a while now and even $3000 was out of my price range. You can find many good boats for under $3k.

Exactly, this thing is neat, but it’s slow and incredibly expensive for what amounts to a couple of pieces of plywood. Trolling motors aren’t super cheap, but for $3000 just buy a boat that’s already built.

The Warrior isn’t even the biggest anymore, the Raider comes in at 1900cc, and the new Venture is the same if not a little bigger.

Can confirm, have done this twice (‘99 F150) both times ended up with extra screws, no dash rattles.

They’ve always been a good deal, they’re even more so now that Harley prices are dropping.

In general the motorcycle market is down across the board.

Metric Cruisers are such good bargains right now. I sold my Sportster this last summer (a little cheap even, but I wanted it sold) and for $700 more than I sold it for I went from a basic 883cc FI Sportster, to an aluminum framed, fuel injected, 1700cc air cooled beast* with suspension and brakes lifted straight off

To make matters worse, all of these used Harleys are flooding the market, making prices cheap, which in turn is driving the price of metric cruisers down, way down. Which is why I ended up on a Yamaha Warrior instead of the Street Bob that I really wanted. There are some absolutely killer deals on metric cruisers
