Sorry, I work in aftermarket truck accessories, people calling quad cabs/double cabs crew cabs makes me twitch. So many people call in and complain asking why something doesn’t fit. “I have a crew cab and these are crew cab boards! You screwed up!” No sir, what you actually have there is a double cab. “But it has four

Technically the SRT-10 was a quad cab, not a crew cab. Extended cab length, but with 4 regular doors. Dodge didn’t offer a true crew cab until 2009, before then it was either the quad cab (extended cab), or Mega Cab.

The aluminum hood on my ‘99 F-150 is still in great shape as well FWIW. Most of the F-150's from this generation seem to have goods in good shape, who knows if they’ve been repainted, but based on my experience I’m assuming most haven’t.

I love the aluminum body, living in the rust belt your vehicle is going to rust out, period. Sure there’s painstaking ways to slow it down, but over time, it’s going to rust. That’s much less of a concern with aluminum. Yes there are some concerns about the aluminum tearing and puncturing a little easier, but for how

I used to poor over Truckin’ magazines drooling over all of the crazy builds, with the wild paint and billet accessories as far as the eye can see. I know that style didn’t age well, but lately I want a 90's/2000's show truck worse than bad. I’ve also wanted a lowered pickup forever, but lowering my only vehicle,

I always loved cars, and particularly pickups, growing up Dad had a ‘69 Chevelle in the grove (still does) that I play around in, and another one completely taken apart in the garage that has been a very long term restoration project, (we also have a ‘71 Datsun 510 in the grove but it took until recently to really

Around the year 2000 my dad was shopping for a new truck and drove his old ‘90 F-150 to the dealership as a trade in. He found a truck he liked and started talking to the salesman. They got to talking about trade ins and the salesman started boasting about how they give great deals on trades, he then points out the

Maybe it’s just the angle of the picture then, but it sure doesn’t look like it, especially with the huge cluster of vents and dials to the left of it.

Looks like the steering wheel is still off center. They redesigned the entire truck but couldn’t be bothered to put the steering wheel where it belongs, just like they did in the last generation. Shit like this is why I don’t really care for GM.

Before then even, my ‘99 has an aluminum hood.

“dialed things back”

I don’t like it, looks bulky and bulgy in all the wrong places, for no good reason. I think the biggest offence is the chrome trim that runs on top of the headlight. I wont judge too harshly until I see one without that awkward piece of headlight trim, but so far things aren’t looking good IMO.

My extended cab has served me well over the years and I don’t really need anything more, but the extra space of a crew cab is really nice when hauling lots of stuff, or more than two people. The 5.5' bed is a major turn off, so thankfully they’re available with 6.5' beds as well. I fully expect my next truck to be a

I don’t care if it takes away some off road capability, or overall truck capability, I love it and would drive the ever living shit out of it. This would still absolutely rip on gravel roads and snow, which is where I drive most of the time anyway.

I’m not sure I’ve ever actually, really hated a car interior before, but I do now.

I’m with you, I’m at a point where I don’t want many things. What I really want is to pay of more of my student loans and get some money set aside for an acreage, which are not things that people can really give me. Sure there’s some things that I want like power tools and shop tools, but I feel guilty asking anyone

I don’t ask for tools anymore because;

No worries, I’m one of those strange people in love with this generation of Ford truck and has more useless knowledge on these than a person probably should.

I’m not an expert on patents but I’d assume that the patent would apply to all rear roll down windows of that type. Perhaps it’s a patent on Toyota’s specific system that no one can find a work around for.

Yeah this has shady cheap dealership written all over it.
