It’s still a fairly common thing on trucks as far as I know, even the ones with the aluminum crossover. Hopefully you’re right though and mine holds out.

I’m still on the OE intake

Everyone still offers a single cab, they’re not super common but they are available.

I can’t imagine Toyota has it patented, the Ford Bronco used a roll down rear window, I believe the Jeep Wagoneer did as well, plus a myriad of old station wagons. I still can’t understand why no one else uses it though. Such a good idea.

Yes, the Marauder got the 4V 4.6.

The problem comes when people don’t torque their plugs like they’re supposed to. I’ve had one blowout, at 180,000 miles (205k on the truck now), and wouldn’t you know it, it happened shortly after I had the plugs changed. I haven’t known a single other person who’s had it happen. Apparently good mechanics are hard to

The Mark VIII got the 4 valve/DOCH 4.6, along with the Lincoln Aviator while the Navigator, Blackwood, and some high performance Mustangs got the 4 valve/DOHC 5.4.

The DOHC motors didn’t really have the plug blowout problem. Even if it did the fix is easy, quick, and cheap.

This has the DOHC 5.4 which didn’t have the plug blowout problem. The plug problem (which has been blown way out of proportion) only affected the SOHC engines. I’d almost be willing to put money on a bad coil pack.

DOHC engine, not a problem on these. The plug blowout problem is blown way out of proportion and only affected the SOHC engines.

Do you have a link for that retrofit? Because that would be interesting to see. The F-150 changed drastically for 2004, so I’d be surprised if anyone is making a retrofit kit.

These did not have the first gen 3-valve, these were still the 2-valve block, with the DOHC heads, with 4 valves per cylinder. The same engine found in the Navigator. The 3-valve started in 2004 IIRC and was still a SOHC.

Pierre is pretty boring unless you’re there to fish or hunt, much like most towns on The River. But hey, it’s at least better than Huron.

I’m with you, as a rider myself I hate flashing front lights, it’s distracting and takes my focus off the rest of the road. A good bright headlight is more than enough for me to see you.

I mean I like the step side box, the looks of it at least (hate the practicality of it), on the regular cab trucks* and especially on the Lightning. The tail lights aren’t the most amazing taillights ever, but they’re not bad looking.

I’ve never loved the 11th gen, they’ve grown on me, but I still think the 10th gens look better. Plus you still see more jellybeans on the road than the 11th gen, likely due to that pesky 3 valve. The 12th gen never looked good to me, and the newest ones were kinda uggo to. The recent face lift though is a massive

The chrome ones certainly are, I don’t think the straight red ones are all that bad though.

My dream truck (although blue would be better). The mods make me nervous, but it looks good over all. Price is reasonable and headlights are cheap (those are factory taillights BTW). NP

WWWWWRRROOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!! They’re a well proportioned truck and have aged much more gracefully than the two generations that followed.

Those are stock tail lights, just sayin. Not sure exactly what year they switched to them, but they are factory.
