If only I ever needed to use an Uber, then I could force my wildly diverse selection of music upon them.

Sturgis week is basically Sturgis month. Living in the state and having gone to Sturgis outside of Sturgis Week, Sturgis isn’t all that great of a town. It’s not all that bad, but there are a ton of nicer and more interesting towns in the area, Lead, Deadwood, Custer etc.
What I’d like is the Scout, but bigger. I currently have a Sportster 883, and love pretty much everything about it. The main reason I’m looking at a new bike is that my wife wants to ride with me more, and with 6' me, the Sportster is pretty cramped. There’s a few things I could do to make it more comfortable, but by…
I really really wish that Indian would make a stripped down bike with this engine, a la Harley Davidson’s Dyna bikes, or Victory’s Vegas/Hammer etc. I’m in the market for a bigger bike than my Sportster and would love to support Indian and Polaris in general, (plus that engine is gorgeous) but I’m not ready for a full…
I think the only thing that will prevent breakdowns is more robust and reliable equipment. However, a litany of sensors will be needed to monitor equipment so that when a breakdown happens the tractor stops. When this happens I imagine it would send out a text notifying the farmer as to what’s broken, the farmer comes…
I disagree, I’ve got many friends who farm and I’ve helped out on a lot of their farms, there is always work to do. This might put a couple of high schoolers out of a job, but chances are that the farmers will just find something different for them to do instead.
I’ve got a couple of flatheads laying around that I want to do this too. The cool thing is, because they’re flatheads, I’m going to put a little electric motor in it and make the valves move. I also want to line the cylinders with blue and red LEDs and make them light up, in firing order, in time with the valves.
I just wrote a lengthy response about why the Silverado 1500 is perfect for this guy. The F-150 and the Ram 1500 are options as well, but the Silverado just seemed to be the better fit.
This makes me regret pulling apart the ‘77 LTD I bought for it’s 460 drivetrain instead of getting it running first and driving it for a while. Sold the 460 recently as well, never even heard it run.
I still see no difference between what HD is doing, and what Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, etc. are doing. The dealerships are all independent, they can pick and choose which third party tuner they offer, and all tuners are installed, by the dealer, after the sale of a new motorcycle. HD isn’t forcing these tuners upon…
In this case, carbed refers to carbureted motorcycles. A rarity nowadays, but there’s still a few out there, with more emissions testing those carbureted bikes will have a harder and harder time passing emissions, which will eventually push them out.
What does it matter that HD puts their name on it? The tuners do the exact same thing, and come with the exact same stipulations, ie, off road only, as every other third party tuner. There is no difference.
I don’t think it would be that hard, Harley offers their Screamin Eagle 110 which is higher performance than most of their bikes and that meets emissions.
No, he was referring to carbureted bikes, implying that as emissions testing gets stricter, carbureted bikes will have a harder and harder time meeting emissions standards.
Yeah, I thought nearly everything went to FI within the last few years, when even competition only dirtbikes and quads are running FI I’m surprised that any street motorcycle would still be using a carb.
