Yep, which a ton of people here don’t realize, they just see Harley and start spewing their baseless stereotypical assumptions.

Harleys meet emissions standards from the factory, just like the Victory, but when you put a set of straight pipes on them, and a high flow air cleaner, then have to tune them to run properly, they no longer meet emissions standards, just like Victory, Yamaha, Indian, Suzuki, etc. etc. etc....
Are there actually any new carbed bikes? I wouldn’t be surprised if there were, I’m just not aware of any.
I agree, this is an aftermarket accessory intended and explained as not emissions compliant, and for off road use only, the same as basically any other tuner out there. If the EPA can go after HD for this, they can go after any company that makes non-emissions compliant accessories.
Because it’s not even remotely the same. Calling this a “cheat device” is completely inaccurate, this is an aftermarket tuner, like any other tuner out there, meant to make the bike run properly with aftermarket accessories such as pipes and air cleaners.
They do make vehicles that meet emission standards, it’s the tuner that the EPA is taking issue with, the same kind of device that is available for pretty much any fuel injected vehicle.
The Harley tuners can be used with a street legal exhaust as well, they just usually aren’t. This is no different than any other tuner out there, yet Harley is being punished because it just so happens that you can get them installed at the same place you buy the bike, much like a lot of motorcycle dealers.
They’re road legal where I live, they just can’t go on the interstates.
As odd as it sounds it’s actually really cool to watch. I was at the 2007 national competition where a friend of mine actually competed. He didn’t do great because he hadn’t been doing it all that long, but watching him was pretty fun.
I’ve seen some corn husking competitions, you better start practicing. For anyone who thinks I’m joking, or how hard could it be? Look it up, be amazed.
Never cared for the coupe, but I think the convertibles are nearly perfect.
I’ve probably ingested more fishing junk than car chemicals so I can say that won’t kill you either. When you’re in the middle of the lake, and handling, dirt, worms, minnows, fish slime, guts and blood, but you gotta eat, (usually very hand friendly foods such as chips/sandwiches) you do your best to clean your hands…
This reminds me of when I was looking for my first vehicle as well, I found a really nice Bronco, Eddie Bauer edition, for a good price about 75 miles away. We were going to be there in a week or two for a band thing anyway so we decided to look at it then. It was gone by the time we got there.
Back in highschool (so around 8-9 years ago), a 1970 (or around there) F-100. Black, reg cab, long bed, 2wd, 302 with a 3 on the tree, definition of stereotypical old man vehicle. It was damn near immaculate, 30 something thousand original miles, and even the box was like new, the previous owner had only used it to…
Have you seen Bait Shop? With Bill Engvall and Billy Ray Cyrus, I don’t remember it being any good, but it is a comedy about tournament bass fishing.
Appliance cart.
Considering the 09-14 F-150 had more room inside than the SD, I don’t think it’ll turn anyone off, besides, the new ones are still huge, and likely bigger than the outgoing SD.
From what I hear the 924 is a bit less complicated than the 944, but I don’t have any first hand experience. Probably something a bit of forum searching would help figure out.
So far mine hasn’t been bad, most maintenance parts seem readily available and working on it has been pretty easy, car has about 180k on it and I haven’t had any major issues in the six months I’ve owned it apart from fixing all the crap from some previous owner.
