Not really. It means you can jump in and be on sort of equal playing ground with any new expansion. Yes, you’ll be lacking the classic legendaries, but I think it’s fair for older players to have *some* advantage—that’s the nature of a collectable game.

This was definitely expected and inevitable. Too difficult for new players to have any sort of chance at starting in the competitive scene if they need to get cards from the entirety of the game.

Hopefully when the game shuts down, they’ll buff your characters/companions enough to go through everything solo. I played vanilla and quit when they nerfed my Shadow Tank into unplayability. I’d enjoy the chance to go back through and complete the raids, but I don’t have time to grind for weekly tokens and shit.

Atomos’s 100% Xcal 2 specifically suggests skipping FMVs, though I guess it is possible without. It’s not possible on the PAL release without tool assistance, though.

It’s not even really possible without skipping cutscenes by opening up the PSX tray. And in the PAL region, I don’t believe it’s possible at all.
