With the caveat that I understand that millions of people care about the Catholic Church and their teachings, on the other hand this missive is the equivalent of your crazy aunt who you avoid at family reunions posting something stupid on Facebook. Like, I already know you’re completely out of touch, so why would I

Nope.

Don’t apologize for your opinion because it is actually the correct one.

Your neighbor sucks. Yet close friends of mine- a family of three- took all the precautions possible and the father died of Covid on Christmas Day, alone in an ICU bed.
Fuck your neighbor.

And considering that the people who get the vaccine (and survive) are Democrats and those that don’t get the vaccine (and die) are Republicans, it’s not a particularly good strategy.

Letterman is an asshole and nobody deserves to be bullied in an interview the way Hilton was. But I think most people would agree that Hilton isn’t a good person herself. I’m not saying “she brought this upon herself” (god no) but I’m less inclined to feel bad for her the way I do for Lohan or any other celebrity

Just came here to ask what the eff is going on with whatever room she’s talking from in that screen capture.

I know this is a given, but your opinion of the 90s depends mostly on your relation to it. I was 20 in 1990 so yeah the 90s were fantastic - think of all the things a person does in their 20s but with a backdrop of good music, pre- 9/11 travel, some progressive social/political movements taking hold, no school

He made fun of MJF and his Parkinson’s by claiming that Fox was exaggerating his condition for attention. And he did it in very mean ways.

Remember when he made fun of Michael J Fox and said he was exaggerating his Parkinson’s for... like, attention or something?

So much to comment on here, but I can’t get past that shot of her IG post where she writes, “... at the end of the day we go to sleep at night knowing we have changed the lives of our students in the most meaningful, compassionate ways possible!!”

I generally love this column and the advice given. But this time it seems... punitive to the LW who generally seems concerned and asking for help?
(I don’t have any answers, I guess that’s one of the reasons I’m not good with advice, lol.)

I agree with your take. (““and has ostensibly never said a single memorable thing about queer people in his decades-long career...”) Very true.

He looks like “the evil politician” from a 80s Tim Burton film ala “Batman Returns” or something. Fuck this guy.

Great article about a great film. I love that you wrote about the scene where Jane replies with the “No, it’s awful” line because I honestly think it’s one of the best lines ever delivered in any movie ever. I love it so much. Hunter should have won the Oscar for delivering that line alone., let alone her entire

Right? Nothing to see here.

Oh, that’s good to know, I didn’t realize. I was making an assumption based on my experience getting the vaccine (as a healthcare worker) and volunteering at a clinic.

...”I would really welcome them to sue me because I have all the evidence against them.”

I think what happens is that you might get the side eye but that’s about it. Once you get your first dose, you’re basically not allowed to leave the clinic without also scheduling the second dose, the reasoning being that the first dose is wasted unless it’s followed up with the second within the required timeframe.

I think the answer is yes, even if that person doesn’t “deserve” to be there. The rational being that the first dose isn’t effective unless it’s followed up with the 2nd dose in the required timeframe (3 weeks for the Pfizer vaccine, 4 weeks for the Moderna). What happens is once you get the first dose there’s a
