Taking a picture of a shooter as a photojournalist while you happen to be in the right place at the right time isn’t “going too far” or unbelievable. That’s just the photographer doing their job. Paparazzi impersonating priests and stealing photos from a family that wants privacy is completely different.

I mean, being at the right place at the right time (or wrong time, in the case of something like this) and photographing it for documentation is hardly comparable to forcing your way into someone else’s privacy. If you can’t see the distinction, you need to mull it over for a while.

You’re point isn’t clear at all, the two events aren’t at all the same.

What’s your point? Surely you’re not comparing a(n extremely insanely lucky) Associated Press photographer with the kind of pap slime that took that photo of Schumacher.

Prudent of publications to not buy and publish the photos. Publishing images of people in bed without their consent has bankrupted publications before.
