The Mitsubishi PHEV is extremely popular, just not in the USA.

Folks give it a pretty decent rating on Edmunds.com. Of course all the automotive press hates it. They think we all should be driving a 3-series. Funny thing is that the little mirage is probably way more reliable than a 3 series in the long run. There’s one in my neighborhood, looks like a very simple car, which is…
I still call them Dodges.
Lol, I’ve got two of these somewhere.
That’s the rub with these things, they can basically only use several fwd GM transmissions from cars like the toronado. I’m sure if you had the cash your could re-power and do whatever you want but for a normal person, it would be cost prohibitive. It’s sad that nobody makes anything of similar size and quality…
I’m not sure most folks who call themselves libertarians really even know what the heck it means. All they know is they love liberty and taxes suck.
I guess if driving a suppository-shaped car is sexy to you then go right ahead.
It’ll be interesting to see how these things hold up. In 20 yrs there will probably be a cottage industry that will be repairing the lcd’s much like the cluster fix places today. I can’t imagine Hyundai or any other manufacturer keeping these things on the shelf for too long.
The Tesla naming scheme is so effing asinine and juvenile. That alone would make it very hard for me to ever even consider one.
I was in mexico about 14 yrs ago and we rented a Tiida, which is what I think they were called there. Basicallly the same car. i was impressed at the time. The roominess in these Versas is quite amazing. It seems that the Mexican built Nissans are kind of absurdly durable.
Please just don’t build it. The cybertruck that is.
Needs to be a trend of lowering SUVs. Pathfinder, highlander, etc. If you lowered them, then they’d really be wagons, lol.
Don’t the injectors go out on 7.3's all the time and you have to like raise the cab to get at them or something absurd? Plus there’s 8 of the bloody things. To me the cummins is worth it just to not have to deal with 2 more cylinders and a v-configuration.
I’ve had my truck for 20 yrs and have never felt the need for pure snow tires. Always semi-aggressive a/t tires for me. I’ve been in all kinds of snowy conditions in the NW. Sure if you have the money and the space, go ahead and get full-on snow tires for your 4x4 but they are by no means necessary.
I saw several of these absurd cab-forward over-landing rigs a few years ago in Denali NP. One was even from Australia, which made me wonder how the hell it got there. I guess if you can afford it go ahead, just don’t run me over in your pseudo-military home on wheels.
Maybe this should be a selling point of electric cars. I just saw that a Nissan Leaf is like 3900 lbs. Impressive.
When are we going to start admitting that SUV’s are just wagons, but a little higher?
He is and he just isn’t that bloody funny.
Just be careful out there man. There’s no way this thing has a collapsable steering wheel and I bet you only have lap belts, so don’t get in any wrecks.
If a rig doesn’t have low range, or at least a granny gear, I don’t think you can consider is a serious off-roader. Not that this thing needs to be.
