Yes I was just joking. Maybe many folks needing to haul loose golf balls?

Imagine that! I have no idea where the current trend in truck beds came from. Is there an overwhelming demand out there for a truck that can carry a large amount of sand? I don’t get it.

Get it rolling down a hill and pop the clutch and see what happens. Wait, I forgot you live in Michigan right? Well then have a friend pull it.

If you get one, don’t ever wreck it. These things are going to be meat grinders. They kept the payload absurdly high so that it would be categorized as a commercial vehicle and avoid all the safety requirements.  I do like the overall design though.  Keeping the flat panels flat will be hard though.  There is a reason

I’m sure I would actually like the mirage, especially if it is a stick.  It’s like a car from the 90s you can buy today.  Of course it’s shitty, they are one of the cheapest cars on the market.

What is actually better about a Tacoma vs the Frontier?  I think Toyota often leans on their perception rather than actual performance of their vehicles.  Yay for them, I just find it interesting.

I’ve said this so many times, but all automatics kind of suck. CVT’s are at least interesting from an engineering perspective. 99% of people don’t care. Gas makes it go, brake makes it stop. End of story. I’m annoyed that my CVT has to have fake shift points just to appease folks that can’t handle the thought of a car

You have high standards.  I consider a car “good” if it is mostly reliable and lasts a long time.  I’m pretty sure most new mitsus would meet this criteria.

In my perfect world that wouldn’t matter and they would only sell it with a turbodiesel and 6 speed manual! 😁It’s a great looking truck. I’m really afraid of what monstrosity Nissan might come up with for our market.

Tacoma hasn’t been “all new” since 2004.  I don’t see anybody complaining about it.

You know what scares me? They included the words “strong” and “spirituality of adventure.” I’m worried they will follow the current trends of making a truck way too butch looking. Worse case scenario is that they just change the front and bed a-la the Tacoma. Basically I’m worried they will just put a massive ugly

This is really too bad. I remember getting almost stuck with my grandpa’s 2wd 1st gen cummins in an RV park in Monument valley. We had a 35' avion on the back and the truck was an automatic. The RV park was quite steep in places and the truck just wouldn’t move! I believe the torque converter was stalled out. I had

Sorry post fail, don’t ever have two posts open at once, weird things happen.

Now playing

I have a 280zx and they are very easy to work on. Getting hard to find junkyard parts though. Maybe they are more disco than radwood. The z31 300zx would fit the bill for sure then, and they can still be had quite cheaply. The VG motor is pretty easy to get parts for.

You will not find one.

The only thing bad about the current frontier is it’s crash test rating and really ugly automatic shifter (but hey it’s still available with a manual so who cares). I also don’t care how out-dated the interior is. It’s got a double-din stereo, what more you want? I would totally get one, but I think my 1st gen will

They are ugly and getting uglier.  Soon you will just be driving around a giant grill that you can’t even see over.

It was never a 4 door 300zx, maybe a 4 door 280zx with the first generation, which was just a continuation of the Datsun 810.  Even though the first gen was RWD, I still think the best generation was the 95-98, which was the first with the VQ.  Back when 190 hp could make it basically the fastest sedan around.

I don’t know, but they will be a great deal if you want a biggish used V6 sedan in a couple of years as quite a few are in the rental fleets.  I’m just glad the Maxima still exists and hope it get’s a new model soon.

This gen max is maybe one of the best cars ever made. My mom had a 97 5 speed. The 3 liter vq felt like a turbine. Everyone knew the maxima was legit back in the 90s.
