Didn’t they also have no actual diesel badging? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one. Whenever I told folks that they exist they sounded surprised. Nobody even knows that GM had some quality diesels on sale the last few years.  And folks will say “see people don’t want diesels.”  Hard to want something you don’t even know

Absurd.  I don’t care how well this thing’s put together, it’s going to be a major headache sooner or later.  Of course if you can put that kind of money towards it you just pay somebody to maintain it.

These cars are perfectly fun stock.  This one is interesting, but I personally wouldn’t mess with a 2000, 1600 maybe, but the 2000 was pretty cool stock and probably is worth more stock, at least it should be in a perfect world.  Personally I think a naturally aspirated sr20 is a more elegant swap, and I would only do

Biggest problem with the Caravan is that it has a pretty poor crash test rating, especially when compared to the Pacifica.

These are nice but not nearly as pretty as the Frontier based ACMAT ALTV:

I was south of Seattle on I-5 when I was passed by a rather pedestrian looking Insight traveling at a pretty good clip.  I thought it strange at the time, but didn’t think that maybe it was swapped.  Hmmm.

I ain’t got no problem with this car. It took some cajones to build it. Somebody said “eff it let’s make a convertible” and somehow it got approved for production. Be glad that some weirdness is allowed occasionally in our corporate world.

I will probably never own a BMW, but we all know the reputation of the brand, so I doubt ones made in Mexico would be much worse than those made in Germany.  You don’t buy a bimmer for it’s reliability.

I’ve replaced the struts on a couple cars and it always gives me the willies. Pretty easy to do, but if that spring pops out of there you could be dead. Not something I recommend most folks doing. I do have the Lisle spring compressors, which I feel are relatively safe.  They have u-bolts that you attach around the

The Spec V was a great car.  My dad has one with around 250k on it.  Driving it in autocross made me realize that all the bs about FWD cars you hear is just that, BS.

That thing is totaled.  I’m sure it’s special to this guy, but it’s also an automatic so oh well.  Best to strip it for parts and invest in something worth saving.

The frontier may be old but it's still a good looking rugged truck that checks all the boxes a proper truck should. It's also the cheapest truck in the market. Even without any real sheet metal updates I think it's still a way better looking truck than the Tacoma with it's unnecessarily large nose.

We had one at work. Ok truck. Interior broke easily. Had maybe 30k miles on it when replaced and interior was kind of trashed. Other than that seemed ok. Replaced with 3rd gen which is a nicer truck in most ways.

I actually hope that gas goes back to $5+ per gallon and folks start wanting cheap, fuel efficient cars again like they did not so long ago. It will be interesting to see the automakers scramble to make the small cars that they recently got rid of.

Turn the Range Rover into some sort of faux overlanding rig.  All you need are some steel wheel sand maybe a shovel and a couple of gas tanks on the back.

Happened to my dad.  Tire store lost it and he was unable to change the wheel.  Ended up getting rid of them.  The locks that is.

Yeah I saw these on youtube. Pretty cool. Do these guys understand that smoke=un-combusted fuel? I guess they probably don’t care.

I’m sure they could find a way!  :D

Not sure why, but I feel like they should make one powered by a 5.9L Cummins with a 4" exhaust.  Might as well.

Yes they do sound dreadful to my ears.  Maybe because the exhaust is so short?  But to me, many of them sound as if there is some heat shield that is loose and banging around.
