@Annual: If it's the same processor as the G2, than even though the clockspeed is stepped back, it's a more efficient cpu/gpu platform than the Snapdragon mark 1. Which means better performance and better battery life. Clock speed isn't everything.

Turns out, the model is some lady that lived in the 15th century. OHMYGAWD.
That 15 minute refund period sucks hell. The 24 hour "change your mind" time was one of my favorite features of the Android Market when comparing against the Apple App Store, and it made me much more likely to impulse buy.
@TomXP411: That was another major problem, yes. Considering the long term cost, the N1 was actually a lot cheaper than the iPhone or even other major Androids on Verizon, but yeah, nobody wants to swallow $529 all at once for a cell phone. People do that regularly with computers.
Considering the popularity of this demo prototype, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if Google eventually sells them - Much like the Nexus One/S. A major problem they had selling the N1 was that Google tried to invent their own hype for a device hardly anyone but nerds like myself cared about. With the CR-48, they've…
@nick123222: And there's plenty of non-printable ebook formats. "Inventing" an entirely new file format simply for the purpose of disabling the print function seems bound to fail.
@zeroprime: This is entirely off-topic, but you must know I hearted you thanks to the Kate Beaton shetland pony you're donning as a profile image.
@John Milleker: For anyone familiar with computer history of the 70s/80s, seeing Amiga on an Apple product does seem a bit...perverse.
Oh dear lordy lou! My first car was a 244 Turbo! (it was 20 years old at the time, of course).
@glokidd: I've built guitars before. The guy would have HAD to reinforce the NES with some kind of wood block inside at the very least, or the strings would create too much tension between the neck and a hollow plastic body—the contraption would collapse in on itself. If it didn't do that much, tuning would be a…
I have about half a dozen electric guitar necks laying around my house and garage, I ought to start building crap like this.
@Molossus: I love that joke so, so much, perhaps because I ENTIRELY AGREE.
@jayme1: You need to watch more tv!
@jayme1: Don't you mean Wesley Snipes?
@uncle_jojo_lives: We had an old 0.3mp sony in the late 90's, don't remember the exact model now. I loved hearing the sound of writing to the floppy after every photo, which, 0.3mp jpeg's on a 1.44mb disk, meant about 30.
I suppose my chances of winning Gizmodo's Chromebook are about as good as having my pilot application fulfilled by Google themselves. So you've got my tweet!
Red+Green is yellow, or the Canadian LifeHacker variety show, not some "sort of murky brown." Dudes, we're talking about light waves here, not finger painting!
@ddhboy: That was my first thought! If he can conquer the world on "Sid" difficulty, we're screwed.
@jenndavo: I saw him first in 30 Rock and decided then that Michael Sheen was the greatest guy ever.
@Animan: "No, no, Crow, I said she's burning a clown."
