@tipt0n: The photos on Amazon show different lenses on the camera body, are they just attached the base lens?

400 pounds, which is what CNET lists it as, would be overly expensive (about 616 usd), but Amazon has got this for $500, which seems reasonable to me. It looks sexy, has a great sensor, and, holy crap, it's not a dSLR but has removable lenses. My TZ3 still has a little bit of life in it but I'm putting this one on my…
@inanimate-object: Yeah and look how well that's doing.... :P
@Grindhouse Murders: I was also surprised the iTouch got a retina display, in addition to cameras and a mic, and without a price hike. I actually wonder if Apple is taking a loss on the hardware with the hope of converting more users. The iPod is like a gateway drug to the rest of the Apple universe.
Nic as Malcolm Reynolds freaked me the hell out.
@ShreikNChips: Not really scifi, but that show is epically full of win.
You made a top 20 scifi list on a site like this and didn't include Firefly!?? Bold move.
And here I thought it was some kind of futuristic urinal.
@RCDuke: I was thinking the Backflip, but I thought it had ditched Google in favor of Yahoo search and even dumping the standard GApps. Must have been a different phone, thanks for the info.
@Donly1: The device that closest to my mind is B&N's Nook e-reader. But that first Android phone to hit AT&T also did not have Google services, I forget what make/model it was.
@canuck85: You can set the Xbox to boot to media center, or press the WMC button on the remote to turn the device on and go direct there. Crazy easy.
@Xeno: No kidding, anybody with an Xbox or PS3 already has all the features of an AppleTV and then some, even if you don't include the WMC extender. I can't see what possible advantage this new dust magnet has over what already exists.
If my Firefox user-agent spoof doesn't work, I know where to go. Thanks guys!
@Fractal the Meek: This is a lot of good info, thanks!
@Fractal the Meek: I was initially lured to the Nook because of its running on Android....until I found out it's a bastardized version of my favorite mobile OS that doesn't support the Market. Now that the screen is a gen behind Sony and Amazon, I'm not interested at all.
So for $40 over the Kindle 3, I could get a touch screen that would allow me to annotate sheet music and write notes once in awhile (this is very attractive). But then I'd lose 3G, an incredibly easy-to-use centralized multi-platform book store, and street cred.
@MSgtSimon: No actually. Worked fine out of the box. Sorry I can't help.
I've been using SwifTP for awhile myself. A bit easier to manage files through an FTP client than a web browser. (Also it's free.)
Crap, Never Let Me Go is only playing in select theaters. That means not Iowa.
@Chernobyl: Don't forget the search for Higgs Bosom particles.
