@reddingofish: My cable company is slightly more bitchy about it. Even if you pay for the subscription to the HD channels (which are included in any package better than basic cable), you have to pay an extra $6/month to rent the HD-ready cable box, otherwise they'll stick you with one that has only standard def

Even for $70 I'd actually buy this. The arc mouse is very comfortable (unlike the Magic mouse), and it'd be nice to have a multitouch mouse actually designed to work in Windows- even if it means the typically annoying bundled driver package.

@Todd Carpenter: My favorite mouse is a Logitech MX Laser they haven't made in 5 years, although once in awhile I see it bundled with a keyboard. The contour fits my hand perfectly, it's got a perfectly balanced weight, 9 programmable buttons, precision to 832nm, and a battery that can still hold a charge for a month

@Moon2083: I'll second that. Both in desktops and notebooks, Asus probably makes the best value for your money around. My next choice would be Lenovo, but those aren't great for gaming.

The Season 5 episode Comedy Central aired after this new one, "Obsoletely Fabulous," was poignant and timeless. The jokes held up because they addressed universal issues instead of picking on current products or events. Oddly enough, robot 1-X made a better parallel to the iPhone 4 (or any other version past the

@Bizara: I was wondering if I should hit Season One first, I've never liked watching shows out of order (first time I ever tried was when jumping into Dollhouse - huge mistake.) So off to Netflix I shall go...

Thank Zombie Jesus.

Kind of sad they moved Eureka from Tuesday to Friday night. I enjoyed having TV to watch in the middle of the week.

@dfp3050: My only theory is that Farmville fulfills three needs required for an average human being's sense fulfillment: (1) the need to be arbitrarily rewarded for completing mindless repetitive tasks, (2) the need to collect things, like rewards for mindless repetitive tasks, and (3) the need to brag about one's

Not shooting buffalo, eh? Pishaw. Bring on the whales.

@AreWeThereYeti: I dunno, with that tiny screen the lack of HD would be moot. And who doesn't love people jumping around and flailing their arms when there's hot coffee about?

I'm not going to scoff at a price drop but still.......for the price of three glorified pdf's I can get a year's worth of printed magazines.

I think this may be the first game I pay full price for on release day. Damn, I may even pre-order it. (Want.)^16

@David Insley: Yeah I'm not saying the RD is bad. It's frackin amazing, in fact. The Super AMOLED is just that much better...

Makes me wonder if I can reprogram my old Lumix...

@AdamKaoru: "Not really"? The only aspect Retina Display has over SAMOLED is ppi. In color, contrast, sunlight performance, viewing angle, and most importantly, battery usage, the SAMOLED wins.

@gnargle: Yeah they do. For at least 18 months, I've read. And if I was Samsung, I'd keep that one in my pocket rather than license the tech out (guess what brand of phone I'll be buying this winter), but a guy can dream.

I would like to see HTC adopt the Super AMOLED screens Samsung is using on the new Galaxy S. That monster puts the Retina Display to shame.

@lankysob: Typo or none, the verdict is solid: it's a stupid t-shirt.

@lankysob: The spelling correction remains valid, but I think it's "sympathy", not empathy. That is, of course, assuming the t-shirt is riffing off the Rolling Stones song, "Sympathy for the Devil"
