I have beaten every Souls game multiple times and Moldorm is worse than all of them.

It's pretty doable, really. You're emulating a SNES controller. It has like 12 buttons and no joysticks.
I never finished this because I played it on an emulator and Moldorm was too hard to beat with a mouse and keyboard.
His foes will melt before him!
They never understood him. : (
You're right, it really doesn't play up any of his themes and the only real John Woo-esque shootout is the end, but it's a damn good one.
Idk, I think the matrix still holds up on its own. It was influential, combined a lot of different ideas and is still one of the best cyberpunk universes put on film.
Is Rutger Hauer the original weeaboo?
Iron Monkey says hello. So does The Matrix.
I like that game a lot! It could have used some polish though. I wish there were a few sequels as well, it's a fun gameplay formula that not enough games use.
I always figured it was just some general slang for a martial arts film they were using.
That lack of sense is what makes it so fun. Like why are their legendary bouncers in this world with extremely tortured pasts? It's so undeniably corny and Swayze plays it so straight while everyone around him hams it up, I love it.
I'll give John Woo all the points for his action, but he deserves more respect for trying to blend it with melodrama. I mean, that's not uncommon with martial arts films, but big shoot em ups were still fairly new at the time, and his imitators never captured that same balance. And no one else really has the guts…
Hard Target is really solid, the ending shoot out is excellent, as is the rest of the action throughout. Really solid cast too, it's a lot of fun. And there's apparently an alternate cut somewhere with like, waaay more action, but it's obviously ultra rare and only on VHS.
Watching them back to back is a weird experience. Your description of the first as Reaction Shot: The Movie is perfectly accurate. A single camera sitcom is more adventurous with its camera work. And it's shot by John Seale apparently. He's got some absolutely beautiful films, but wtf happened there?
I feel as if that "inspired moment" in The Strangers could easily be found in like a dozen other slashers that predate it.
Ils so much more creative and technically accomplished.
I think horror mixes just fine with other genres. Horror drama is happening more and more, and is arguably where the genre started. Horror comedy/sci-fi/action/thriller, etc, all of those are pretty commonplace, but I think Hollywood is just not as good or used to blending genres the way other parts of the world are…
I'm trying to think of examples too. Maybe something like Dogtooth, where some of the characters do some awfully violent things that are sort of glossed over by the rest of the cast.
I heard that was exactly what happened, except that he did tell one or two of the actors.
