Mac's not fat, he's just cultivating mass.
Hmm, I don't recall any nudity or sexual content, but it's quite violent and there's a fair bit of swearing. The violence is the main thing that I would find troubling as it's like, old school squibs, people get shot up good.
I suck and didn't see this until I was 18, I believe. I went to HMV and bought some CDs and they were all "Hey, you can get Juno or Die Hard on DVD for 5 bucks!" and like, I'm not a fool, so I obviously got Die Hard. My friend came over and we watched it and it kicked both our asses.
I think it's the most perfect on like some sort of broader, technical level. Tightest screenplay ever, excellent action scenes, humor, characters and camera work. But it's actually a bit slight on the actual action, so I do think there are better "action" movies out there in that department, it just depends on what…
Aw crap, I'm like two weeks late. All I wanted to do is give props for mentioning Eastern Condors, one of the greatest and most underappreciated action films of all time.
Since like, the second film?
Non-beer snobs do the EXACT same thing but in reverse. It's a two way street, except that one side outnumbers the other so it's okay to hate on beer snobs.
Agreed. Nicklebrook, Amsterdam, Bellwoods, Collective Arts, the list goes on. We have some great IPAs too though. Amsterdam's Boneshaker and Nicklebrook's Headstock are my go tos.
IPAs with wet hops >>>>>> IPAs with dry hops.
This is like a pot dealer that doesn't smoke. How can we trust them?!
This whole situation reminds me of the nosleep subreddit, which used to just have good short horror fiction and creepypastas, but at some point the audience decided they preferred longer, multi-part stories, more like horror/fantasy/sci-fi mixes, written at a fan fiction level, which now dominate the place. Candle…
The only episode of BSG I haven't seen is the finale and after all I've heard I'm not sure if I ever should >_>
The original does have some Body-Double-esque stuff, so I can see where De Palma would have gotten the idea.
Todd's anti-spoilerphobe article he left us with before leaving should be linked to at the start of all articles with potential spoilers.
Rey won the fight because, as it was shown in the beginning of the movie, she is athletic (parkour skills), trained in combat (she fights at least two dudes off with a staff), has the force on her side at the time, and is fighting an injured and highly emotional opponent.
Hehe, yeah, definitely a bit hammy, but it gets so wild, the last bit is just an extended chase. Even feels like it could have possibly been an influence on Resident Evil 4, they're so similar.
I just found myself scrolling through this article again, saw these posts and felt the need to mention that I finally got around to seeing Dagon a few weeks ago and it was fucking awesome!
Actually, Whisperer in the Darkness seems to imply that the monsters and the cultists are actually working directly together. Maybe they don't have the most friendly relationship, the monsters are most certainly taking advantage of the cultists, but there's still some sort of implied cooperation.
Agreed on both points. Lovecraft often has that implication that the supernatural elements are more extraterrestrial in origin. And yeah, Fallout is too cheeky and self-aware to ever take its logical consistency that seriously.
