Blue Ruin, Green Room, I'm gonna be so disappointed if his next film doesn't follow this "Colour and four letter word starting with 'R' pattern"

I got so good at MvC2 just so I could beat my roommate when he played as Cable.

This sounds like it's all kinds of awesome. I think my dream Pokemon game would be some type of real time fighting like this combined with the story mode of the main series.

Is that weird or something though? Seems normal to me, I can't imagine why anyone would want a fighting game with a lot of projectile spam, or any at all, really.

His review of Braid is amazing. It's so easy to position yourself above him and think "He doesn't get it" but at the same time it's a view of the game that's totally unfiltered, free of the pretension generated by all the "Is this art?" talk, just "Holy crap, this dude looks like sad Mario and rewinding stuff is

There's so much I want to say about our film industry and culture but the problem is that it's probably completely uninteresting to anyone who isn't Canadian. And I imagine most Canadians aren't interested either, unfortunately.

Never read the book, but I'd hope so.

Oh I'm Canadian, I know. We have the most amusing cultural identity problem.

Maybe that's why she turned to directing. You crushed her so bad she gave up her dreams of being a tennis star.

But there are some really good ones! Ginger Snaps, Cube, The Sweet Hereafter, C.R.A.Z.Y., Black Christmas, Incendies, My Bloody Valentine, Goin' Down the Road, Pontypool, everything from Cronenberg, there are a lot!

*cough* Dennis Villeneuve *cough*

Yup.

Am I crazy or is there being an actual monster at the end the rarer option? There are so many psychological thrillers that end with "Was it real or wasn't it?!" so even though this ending may get criticized for being more commercial, it somehow feels more unique to me.
Plus, I don't give a damn about tonal consistency.

I get so irked when people try to bash Lost based after JJ Abrams involvement. He barely even did anything!

So it's like if Pitchfork wrote a movie review?

I originally had a proper username when I made this account but the disqus machine broke it and this is what appeared when I started posting. I think you can change it but I'm pretty bad with thinking up usernames so I just left it.

I thought Prince was for sure available on Apple Music, but maybe not. I hope he warms up to streaming eventually, no one deserves to live a Prince-free life. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.

Ah, I'm so jealous! I hate being the cliche young guy who's all "I wish I was born in a different era" but god damn do I wish I had been alive to see and hear him in his heyday.

That's awesome! I really hope they do right by it, I honestly felt a little insulted when they blew it up in Mass Effect 3. I loved that vehicle. I think people hated it because they tried to drive it like any other video game tank, which is wrong. You gotta drive the Mako like it's a Mako.

100% agree, and it's not even just with FPS games. I use Mass Effect 1 > 2 as an example of this all the time. Mass Effect 1 had a lot of unique ideas. The disc grenades, the planet exploration, the Mako, all the weapon mods and what not. Most of that was rough and a bit cumbersome though, but instead of trying to
