My only issue is the graphics. The art style makes sense for this game when you read up on the narrative, but it's just too bare bones. The minimalist, digital look keeps reminding me I'm in a game and I imagine it would get kind of depressing after a while. I don't really like being reminded I'm playing a game in

But eye wounds have played such an import role in film history!

I would totally watch a sports film parody based around Quidditch.

Yeah, exactly! I love action movies, this game looks like it was made for me. Reminds me of Hotline Miami a bit, which was also great for that action movie feel.

But it was so cheap :(

Oh man, this game sounds awesome. And for once there's a good indie title coming to the Xbox One and not the PS4. We could really use some games over here.

On the plus side though, it's gonna feel great once you get back to those Dark Souls 2 controls!

That's a great quote! I've actually noticed a couple inconsistencies, but they're not really bothersome considering the nature of the disc itself. And yeah, there is a noticeable difference between the later novels I've read (Guards, Guards! and Men at Arms) and the earlier novels. I'm still enjoying them a lot but am

Another classic. Abbi knocks it out of the park again, it's hilarious when she cuts loose. Considering last weeks cold open, I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching her insult people after a win. And her attempt at some kinda air chest bump was hilarious.

Don't forget that in Dark Souls you can only roll in four directions! That's a real nightmare when you go back to that after playing the second.

Yeah, my experience is limited too. The only other ones I've read are Call for the Dead, his first novel, I believe (It wasn't that great), and A Delicate Truth, which is his most recent one, but was still quite good.

Mugen is my favourite as well, although I don't find the main cast to be as memorable as the cast in Bebop. They're enjoyable, but I'm still early on and their backstories haven't really been filled in yet.

Yeah, it feels like he never completely stops poking fun of the genre, but I'm glad that he got all the really basic stuff out of the way at the beginning of the series. It's kinda funny how low key Equal Rites is compared to those first two. Speaking of which, does that one get kind of retconned in Wyrd Sisters? I

I completed a whole pull up last week! Dead hang, to above the bar and back down again, like a fucking boss. Strength gaining is a slow process but it felt really good to have some sort of personal milestone.

Cinema and Media Studies! Maybe not the most lucrative field, but I find it pretty interesting.

I thought TSWCIFTC was great, but hearing now that it felt like a warm up? Pretty eager to read more of him now. Any recs aside from Tinker, Tailor?

Finished Kill la Kill! Actually I still need to watch the OVA, but I finished the main series. What an odd show. Both problematic in its fan service but also an oddly touching ode to individuality and weirdness. I mostly loved it. I also watched all of Gunbuster this weekend. That was pretty rad. I read afterwards

You know what you must do. Sabotage the Starbucks. Fight gentrification!

Happy Squanchday!

This is fairly pleasant: I got an email from my faculty's graduate program director inviting me to apply for an MA due to a recommendation from a professor. It's apparently funded for two years and seems like a good opportunity, I'm just still unsure about if that's something I really want to do. Not that my current
