Ubisoft is the worst and I'll never forgive them for ruining Far Cry.

Almost done Kill la Kill! I'm looking for another anime to watch after that but I'm not sure what to go with. Maybe Samurai Champloo, or something short and classic, I'm thinking Gunbuster, I like mechs.

I think I'm gonna go on Friday!

I've been munching on "farro" salad for lunch all week, with some kale and asparagus in it, although the farro I bought is labeled as "Farro Spelt" something along those lines, which is confusing because from my understanding those are two entirely different grains, so I'm not even sure what I'm actually eating.

I'm mostly just glad to know I'm not the only person who may have read it wrong at first.

Doesn't commenting on an article about it count as hearing about it?

No guns, but Spartacus had Nasir and Agron.

That's never bothered me but I can sympathize with that point of view. It's a good thing to bring up too since he kind of straddles that line between historical fiction and fantasy.

We may laugh now, but I'll totally think about that comment before falling asleep and then peak over my shoulder. Just to be sure.

Thinking back, It Follows had bursts of scary scenes but wasn't as consistent as The Babadook. The Babadook had that great art direction and a really oppressive atmosphere that kept it spooky throughout, and I liked the various gimmicks they used, like the stop motion and old film clips.

FWIW I watched it for the first time last October with a friend and we both loved it, so it's definitely worth watching for new viewers, I think. We have pretty different tastes too.

They scared me, I'm easily scared.

I'm so excited for his new one! I also dug the Sarantine Mosaic as a duology, I think more authors should get into that.

That's a ridiculous way to get out of your contract, especially when artists do it all the time in a variety of ways that don't involve drawn out court cases like this.

Aw, sad to hear Alex didn't enjoy The Blade Itself. It's definitely slow as the trilogy's narrative doesn't really get going until the second book, but it's well worth it by the end. I think it's almost guaranteed to surprise you once you get going, and Abercrombie's writing also improves a lot. Best dialogue writer

Wow, Sanderson really did just release Calamity. And it's been like, what, two or three weeks since Bands of Mourning came out? So much respect for that man's work ethic.

For a standalone fantasy I would recommend something from Guy Gavriel Kay. Tigana or The Lions of Al Rassan. They're perfect.

Here's some reason for you: Why would a successful recording artist completely derail her career over a false accusation?

Terminator 2 gets my vote.

Perfectly put! Plus, the twist makes it all even better, everything becomes more tragic once we learn the truth. I wonder how much of that is because Nolan's working with an adaptation, he seems to do his best work with them.
