That type of narration is used a lot, even outside of YouTube. I find that film documentaries like it the most, that sort of monotone, emotionless, almost cold narrative style, like in LA Plays Itself. The online video essayists are just copying that, they're just not very good at it.

Aren't all their games kinda like that? I'm playing Dragon Age 2 and you'll use one flirt option on someone and suddenly they launch into a dramatic speech about how you two can never be together for reasons, and the whole time I'm thinking "I just liked your shirt."

The Gamecube was excellent, it had a ton of great games! Wind Waker, Paper Mario, REmake, RE4, Viewtiful Joe, Twin Snakes, Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, the list goes on and on.

Ah, my apologies for being so bullheaded then. We definitely agree on a lot then! I guess I just take a bit more of an opposite stance in that I like that mainstream blockbusters are borrowing more from b-movies, in the sense that it means those genres are becoming more widely accepted.
