I feel like that POV does a huge disservice to genre films, which should not have an inherently negative connotation. Die Hard, for example, is a good movie. Action or not, it's just a great movie with that's well shot with good actors, characters, writing, etc. It doesn't stop being an action film because of it.

My heart was pounding from the point in Sin Bin where they all gather in that room, up until the end of 1000 Cuts. Even the Robyn aspect didn't bother me because I like how they managed to link it back to Kilgrave and his negative impact.

IMO, it's the other way around, it's audiences who didn't realize this until the fifth came along and spelled it out for them by being so over the top. The films were always cognizant of what they were doing. 2Fast2Furious is proof of that alone. That movie doesn't take itself seriously at all, and even the first

Totally. Tokyo Drift isn't that bad, drifting is cool as hell, Han is cool as hell, and Bow Wow has a wacky as fuck Hulk car. It's the fourth that suffers from a weird lack of action, and it doesn't focus on the team as much.

Heheheh, I think I might have to grab another one. I'm starting to like the idea of reading them in publication order due to how they seem to slowly build up the setting with new technologies, people, events, etc. So I think I'm gonna jump back to Equal Rites and move from that back up to Guards! Guards! There's gonna

Google tells me that the game isn't so liberal with its silencer placement as I assumed it was, but there's a shopkeeper on the second floor of one of the apartments that sells one if you're still in Detroit. I always miss that guy, which probably explains, at least partially, why I'm so terrible at stealth.

Decided last night to start watching Jessica Jones again as I fell off for no apparent reasons. Ended up getting 3 episodes done, with only 3 more to go. AKA Sin Bin and AKA 1000 Cuts were insane!

Wednesday is back and biceps day! That means pull ups, which I haven't been able to do one of yet, but I've been building up to it and I think today I'll be able to get at least one out. I'm upping the weight for a few exercises too for the first time, feels good!

I will be smoking a super bowl, if that counts.

"I also really want to stealthily snipe people, but the game has dropped
neither a silencer nor a tranq gun, so it's pretty much impossible yet."

Almost done Terry Pratchett's Men at Arms which is seriously like the best thing ever. He's perfected this mix of humor, emotion and genre. Everything is so absurd and yet it still feels cohesive and believable. As they say in the book, "It just works." I'm torn now between taking a break or just riding this Discworld

Isaac Florentine should direct this. He got started doing stunt choreography for the original series. His career could come full circle.

But that was the second best short in VHS 2!

A modern FPS, at least. Something like Doom fits into that structure pretty well.

I found one toy of her but it's the speeder bike and she's in her scavenger gear so that no one will know it's a girl.

That would have totally happened if the The Force Awakens had been around when they put Star Wars characters into Soul Calibur.

That's awesome! I didn't expect anyone to do this, thanks so much! It's been a while since I got to see any of that Abby and Ilana magic, I'm extra pumped up for this season now!

"The uploader has not made this video available in your country."

I sometimes wonder if there's something wrong with me because I don't find there to be anything gratuitous about that fight scene. But there is a point to it. It's meant to represent how oblivious and resistant to change people are. The whole movie is an allegory of sorts, right? The forces that control everyone are

I've seen them online but I guess not on a site that RT recognizes.
