Yeah that's a prerequisite and most have abandoned the modding. But the giants never will, the Bethesdas, Unreals, and Valve's of the world won't let us down any time soon.

Just to have said it - for every gimmick mod there is a full conversion/game changing mod as well, take Midas Magic for example in Skyrim but thats a different topic. And Diablo 3 doesn't charge any money - there's the RMAH but I haven't spent a single dime on it. On the contrary actually I've made my money back at least twice.

Well you do get the best experience in-game with a PC that can hardly be argued but yeah everything else is based on choice.

My LAN PC is running a 9800GTX+ and a Phenom 2 X4 with 8GB of DDR2 - it can play everything but not well - and when run in high res even worse, so an 8800 would not hold up well. I consider myself an enthusiast and let me tell you that when you have lots of fun overclocking your hardware it's worth the extra few…

I got the 3rd GPU because there was a need for it with Witcher 2 and Battlefield 3 in surround with 3D. There is a need and there are actual games to play in my world. Other than DayZ everything I play utilizes multi-gpu tech. EDIT: OK... DayZ/Arma 2 does too but it's not good at all.

I lied actually, a lot of games kill me when run in Surround.

That was me at the beginning of the life cycle haha. To this day The Witcher 2 is the only game that was able to kill my rig with that fucking ubersampling.

I wish my computer was only a grand, I could buy a brand new car if I sold my stuff.
