I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on it, but it’s asking price seems in line, even a little lower, than similar models for sale elsewhere in the country. Which is probably right, considering there would be some import costs.

I didn’t read Justin’s article, but I’m not sure I have to to wholeheartedly agree with yours.
Neutral: It’s pretty hard to say before they’re actually released, but from a marketing perspective, I’d say not really. It is really like Apple vs. Microsoft, but like 5 years ago, before MS started catching up. Look at the Bolt compared to the Model 3; it looks absolutely frumpy. And by nature of being a small…
I mean more that if all dealers were no haggle, I’d be OK if it meant paying MSRP. There’s no way I’d pay all their ridiculous fees, though.
Interestingly, I am the exact opposite.
A deposit is not necessarily an approval of every aspect of the car. I don’t like the cheap door panels, DCT, or lack of rear legroom in my Focus, but it was the best option available to me at the time.
I had to scroll back up and see what he was talking about because both badges looked to me like an Aston badge.
I’d be OK with agreeing to MSRP and refusing to pay for all the other BS.
2nd: Haggling is only the only way to get a fair price because of the system the dealers have set up in the first place. Of course dealers don’t like it; it means they can’t screw over passive and/or ignorant consumers.
It’s not that. It’s that you’re only allowed to have a negative opinion on the car if you’re going to buy one.
Agreed.
Finally, an explanation of what’s wrong with it! It is that there is the flat portion of the front end where a grille should be, but there isn’t one. If the Model 3 had been designed as if grilles don’t exist, it would look much better. Thank you.
Who the hell would use line-lock during a race?
It is upsetting.
I don’t believe you.
Fair enough. I guess on paper they do produce better fuel economy. On paper.
Wow, that is awful, if only because they said right there in the tweet that it’s a joke. Like how my wife will make a clever sarcastic comment, but follow it up with “just kidding” because she’s too nice and is afraid to hurt my feelings.
Cell phones aren’t operated by people, but we have no problem finding loyalties in that arena.
Actually, it’s all about those lower Chinese and European taxes.
