This this and more this. People will cheat in any game if they put their mind to it, and almost every single MMO has cheaters. This simply sends a message to cheaters saying.. A. Dont Cheat and B. If you do, this will happen to you, you will lose everything you worked towards, and we still have your money.
I’ve found that the same people who complain about spammers, are the same ones who complain about COD Heartbeat Monitors, Halo Rockets, and campers. If its part of the game (and not a cheat or exploit) then dont complain about the mechanics of it.
