when Apple announced its $550 , I admit I was intrigued.

I’m willing to bet that the average user of these $550 headphones either already has one or wouldn’t ever need one. the odd person who falls in neither of those categories and still buys $550 headphones probably won’t mind paying $9 for a dongle if they find they need it.

As a public library employee, I agree with your sentiment. But let me also say, it’s been a really shit year with a lot of disappointments. Having just one thing I was looking forward to actually pan out would have been nice.

All I do in these sorts of games is accidentally crash into stuff because I’m terrible at flying. I use a crappy Thrustmaster and enjoy making planes do crazy flips until they stall out and go into a tailspin.

It’s also not that good of a analysis on games as a service with pros cons etc - seemed more like axe grinding.

I like the analysis of games as service and the spooky implications of the technology at play but... this ain't a review of the game, really.
