Now that’s a really good question, and one I’ve been wondering about. Speculation was that Sony gave CDPR the benefit of the doubt that they would get the bugs fixed in time for release.

“Trust me” is another one.

I just realized that my friend’s complaint of “It’s really weird, you have to put the games in with the art side down” really just means that he also has it upside down.

Every single car does this automatically. It’s how defroster settings work.

Character models and lighting from 2010 definitely do a good job at slowing down the hype train.

While I appreciate them not showing just a mysterious CG teaser and using in-game footage instead, and I think the core premise is interesting enough, I think the bland visual design of the characters and environments is really tempering my expectations, and not in the way they were hoping for. I’m certainly not one

All I do in these sorts of games is accidentally crash into stuff because I’m terrible at flying. I use a crappy Thrustmaster and enjoy making planes do crazy flips until they stall out and go into a tailspin.

It’s also not that good of a analysis on games as a service with pros cons etc - seemed more like axe grinding.

I like the analysis of games as service and the spooky implications of the technology at play but... this ain't a review of the game, really.

This is the kind of rant someone goes on when they're really high.

Dear Will, if you took a second to try and review the *game* Microsoft Flight Simulator instead of the concept of cloud and games as a service, maybe you would have done the tutorial, which would have taught you to fly VFR (which incidentally is the only form of navigation actually included in the tutorial).

it’s only another 4 years. Four years goes by in the blink of an eye.

I like the way you think. To take it further, just order the ladder yourself. Take the ladder. Take the shipment money. Take the phones. And then call Amazon and tell them you never got either one of your ladders.

Yep, they love America the same way they love Jesus. They love the word itself, but they can’t be bothered to learn any of the details about that thing they claim to love.

A lot of things feel like that lately. I’m afraid now that if I actually HAVE a stroke, it will likely be fatal because I’ll just think it was a Monday.

I’ve literally been asking “why the hell would I ever buy an Xbox” for like seven years and they continually fail to provide any sort of compelling answer.

You’re absolutely right. I screwed up, there! Apologies!

I am so incredibly ambivalent about WoW right now. Like, all the new character and class options for Shadowlands look amazing, but a big part of an MMO like this is immersing yourself in the world, and after the massive dumpster-fire that was BfA’s plot, I have been burned so hard by the developers that I really don’t

Two, so far.
