At a basic level, it’s about a post-apocalyptic Amazon delivery man uniting bunker-dwelling citizens into a new nation that can meet the floating-ghost threat. A little deeper, and it has to do with rescuing the delivery man’s sister, stopping an impending ghost-armaggedon, and maybe figuring out what’s up with that

Overall I agree with your take on Death Stranding. The only thing I’d like to add is that the main storyline isn’t as complicated as it initially seems. If we watched the events chronologically it might be long and winding, but they would make sense. But we’re deprived of the key historical and backstory events for

In this situation it’s somewhat applicable.  Since the game was hiding the stats some players would feel tricked or lied to when they didn’t win, despite the appearance of better driving.

Yeah, I wish games were more open about the stats of various things in-game. For the MK series they need to be more consistently open about the racers’ skills and the stats of the vehicles. Finding this info online shouldn’t be a requirement.

Except that does answer the question that Burner was asking: “Like how many points does a winner usually have, 50,000, or 95". The sheet also gives an example, saying that Bowser’s 45 points starts him at 13.6% towards the goal of 330.

I think it’s because they look like Dreamworks cutesy eyes, like Puss In Boots. I also have trouble taking him seriously because his smokey head makes him look like a steam engine.

Yeah, I think Ninja Blade got a lot of flack at the time for using QTEs, mainly because there was A LOT of anti-QTE talk at the time. But for the most part they were inoffensive and functionally very similar to RE4's QTEs, letting the player take part in larger cinematic scenes that wouldn’t otherwise be gameplay. But

Agreed.  The talk radio and classical stations were standouts for me, plus the rap station for the most part.

If the music is the worst part of GTA3 then that’s a pretty good endorsement for the game.

I can’t recall if I noticed that, though I did tend to lean on vehicles as my weapon of choice. As a result I did notice that rearending motorcyclists usually sent them flying straight up into the sky, especially when using large vehicles.

This reminds me of the weirdness of Ninja Blade, which I enjoyed, so this game sounds right up my alley.

“I’ve been told not to shoot myself in the foot, but they said it in a way I dislike, so I’m going to shoot myself in the foot to spite them.”

The only upside I see in the case of Elden Ring is that any HP-style character is still going to be horribly mangled by the game’s monsters.

I wonder if they’re going to handwave it away, saying Cal previously just didn’t know how to build the lightsaber correctly, so in the first game his lightsaber wasn’t as effective as it should have been. Not that it would make sense, since only human enemies were effected.

“Hmmm, I’m at 999 words, so what can I do to hit 1000?  Slightly rewrite a previous sentence?  Add more text and go a bit over 1000?  Nah, I’ll just add ‘It’ to the end.”

Yeah, the current internet is ultimately the result of pro-corporation decisions that governments made in the 90s and 2000s. And tons of people with tech and/or cyberpunk experience pointed out exactly what would happen, because corporations are largely predictable.

I was curious so I looked at the linked article for #3 ( https://jalopnik.com/california-cops-searched-black-people-over-two-times-mo-1849945513 ). I looks like you’re correct on the “pulled over” aspect. I think the confusion comes from the article title and the other statistics it discusses. In terms of overall

Yeah, it basically crossed the whole internet by 2000. I first encountered it in 1999, but it was around even earlier.

Oh god memes are reaching drinking age.

The game is pretty good, even the Genesis port, though it’s not particularly difficult. Apparently Toaplan games have a pretty good reputation among shmup fans.
