Let me see if I have the situation right: LEOs from one country entered another country, entered the homes of citizens of that other country, then killed those citizens when the citizens attempted to defend themselves. Literal wars have started over less. Even if the foreign LEOs have been given legal jurisdiction by

Thanks for calling out the “talentless Hollywood exec move”.  It makes me think that some of Keanu’s career missteps are the result of some execs having the wrong ideas.  Similarly, attempts to make Ryan Reynolds a romantic lead when he’s clearly better in comedies and weird movies.

If the robber also takes part in the collectables reselling market they could already have a general idea of what’s valuable. Though I agree with popeadope that it’s possible the burglar has watched the owner’s streams for inside info.

Honestly, I’d be surprised if there isn’t an issue of What If? for that exact scenario.

His video reviews were one of the highlights of Kotaku for me. My personal favorite was his Death Stranding review. Him leaving Kotaku is unfortunate, but I’m glad he’s doing just fine with his own thing on YouTube (and I think he’s still doing game design work too).

I had to do a double take. That space between trees gives Piggsy a certain... Inappropriateness?

They’re just smart enough to recognize that they are stupid, so I guess that’s a point for them. However, they’re too stupid to correctly gauge how stupid they are.

For me, I think Ethan is exceedingly bland in a series that is overloaded with competition in that area. It feels like they decided his main personality traits were “has mold”, “has no face”, and “to be determined later”.

Definitely a carryover from the 90s. So he tried to look cool on his first day as a cop, then made that haircut his entire personality for the next 15 years.

I’m honestly surprised most of these still have servers to shut down, so I guess good on EA for maintaining them for so long (though on the other hand I wouldn’t be surprised if they were relatively low cost and nobody bothered to shut them down until now). Then again, I’m also honestly surprised that some of the games

To be fair, I don’t think anyone could have predicted both the pandemic and its effects on retro games prices (except maybe the dudes running the games rating companies, but that’s a different situation).

I think I accounted for time. “taking 50 percent longer” equates to 2/3 take for the same amount of time. Essentially, x=1.5 “hours” now, so 1 “hour” = 2/3x. I then multiplied that with 165/949, or 17.39%, for a total of 11.59%. I might have missed some other aspect they mentioned.

Yeah, a combination of variables could prove strongly indicate that a user isn’t truly where their VPN says, and sellers could use that to calculate a price. Users might still be price tourists for cheaper prices, but it wouldn’t be as low as actual locals in those countries.

Small edit: the second ‘b’ in “Broberbund” should be a d’. The company was Broderbund (or Brøderbund).

By my admittedly loose calculations it sounds like the new amount of income is ~11% of the original. So it went from absolutely ridiculous return to moderate return. That sounds so horrible. /s

As a now-inexperienced SF player (my last SF was Third Strike) I think I agree. This sounds like a special move that inexperienced or lesser players probably wouldn’t necessarily think to use, and when they do it would be less effective or strategic than if it were used by an experienced player. I think I agree with

It’s rare/amazing for a game to release with cover art that looks like fan art that’s been sent to a videogame magazine.

I thought the European oil painting aesthetic was a neat idea, but that was probably the only draw for me, and reviews made it clear that it wasn’t done very well. Part of the problem is that they seem have based the game’s aesthetic on how most old oil paintings look now, which is much darker and dingier than when

*sigh* Yet another term to add to the list of things that garbage people say. I’ll have to figure out if “conceited weirdos that call others NPC” ranks above “dudes that say female” and “people that use woke as a pejorative”.

I’m not sure if they know it, but the original person’s post has a grain of truth, albeit surrounded by a thick layer of BS. They may have heard a few things and just completely blew them out of proportion. “Visuals are one of the first things done” is clearly wrong, but I could see how that is a few bad steps away
