That’s pretty much true from Frieza Saga onward. Though I do have 2 things to call out:

As others have noted, NG+ rarely makes narrative sense. Off the top of my head I can only think of 2 games where NG+ actually kind of fits into the narrative, though there’s probably more that I’m unaware of or not thinking of.

WB/DC are probably thankful at the sheer dumb luck that this movie lets them easily replace Miller for future movies.

I’m a little surprised they haven’t tried to refilm with Christopher Plummer or CG replace Miller with Tig Notaro.

I don’t think WB was particularly interested in keeping the movie characters accurate to the comics, otherwise Aquaman would have been blond. They were just doing everything they could to get attention/interest, including hiring popular or up-and-coming actors.
