Well, I’m still on Dishonored 2, and not very far. I like to search out the many and various secrets of each map, so I’m only about halfway through mission 2. I think once I’m leveled up a bit more things will be quicker, but we’ll see.

That reminds me of one about a local man somehow feeding himself while his wife is out of town.
Man, I loved “Our Dumb Century”.
To prevent griefing of beginners I can think of a possible solution to this kind of action: track a player’s highest rank they’ve reached then create a minimum rank that is based on that high rank; if your current rank is below the minimum you would only be able to play at that minimum until your rank goes above it.…
I totally agree. After finishing the first I knew I would probably stick with the series forever based on the strength of that first game.
I keep getting sidetracked by games that are convenient, and also fun, but not the ones I’ve been trying to get to. As such, I’ll probably drop my other games and finally start on Dishonored 2.
The whole thing feels similar to me to the DS2 covenant where members fight each other in an arena for tokens, but with a slight tweak. In this case a member puts out a call for challengers, which simultaneously transports them to an “arena” area of the game world, then challengers might show up if they use the other…
Several years ago I worked at a small company that made games from licensed properties, and I suspect that the stupid legal issue here is that Bethesda officially owns the source code for Fallout Shelter through the contract Behaviour had to sign to make a licensed game. If Behaviour used the same engine, or versions…
Yeah, I’m not really seeing any evidence for the idea that this must be for a massive PVP mode. From what little is said, my interpretation is that it could be for a specific faction. One member essentially invites invaders to their game, then they have to fight in a specific area that acts as the arena. I can’t…
As Sinfwho said, SF1 Mike and SF2+ Mike Bison are officially different characters. The whole situation with character names is weird and annoying, and is further complicated by how almost all of the SF1 characters were completely redesigned in later games. Overall my suspicion is that the devs originally intended for…
I agree that it would be nice to just have the SF characters using the same names in the US as in Japan. However, the naming issues for SF aren’t the same logic as with MMX5.
I was trying to think back to the E3 and GDC visits I made years ago. Overall they were very smooth, and I don’t think I directly ran into anyone, though there were quite a few celebrities that I happened to glimpse (including, weirdly, Gallagher who was at E3 for some reason). I do recall interrupting Adam Sessler to…
While I agree that many types of games can sanitize or normalize violence, I think it’s more important to use that as an opening to discuss those topics with your kids. Growing up I had several friends whose parents outright forbid them from doing certain things or playing certain games for religious reasons.…
Wasn’t Fortnite originally a zombie game? Whatever happened with that? :P
I’d completely forgotten about that comic, but it does show how badly some people overreacted to CC. Ultimately most Nintendo fans already had the GC and GBA, so it was mainly just a matter of getting a $10-$20 cable. And even then, the GBA wasn’t really necessary, it just enhanced the gameplay a bit. For me CC was an…
I’m reminded of the time and money my friends I spent to play FF: Crystal Chronicles the “right” way with attached GBAs (we ultimately only played it 2 or 3 times). It was a neat idea, but not very practical, and only a little bit useful. In retrospect the “interactive screen in controller” concept seems very similar…
In my experience the shunning/bullying usually causes “the spite and self-pity and bitter control fantasies that underpin their entire personality.” Once a person has been shunned it usually becomes a cycle, and many of those who are shunned have trouble breaking out the mindset it creates.
“It took quite a bit of time.”
I was going to complain that it sounds delicious but impossible to eat “normally” (by hand), but if it’s expected to be eaten with a fork then I’m all for it.
Loaded fries are just nachos for horrible people.
