“Isn’t there a lot of denial in the porn business about how many STDs the performers are subject to?”

Don’t bother. That person’s comment history is a wasteland.

You think women wearing hijabs, niqabs, etc. don’t get sexually harassed and assaulted? How cute.

There is . . . a lot . . . wrong with this comment.

I hate to break it to you, but women get catcalled regardless of their attire. I’ve been catcalled while wearing a formless sweatsuit that made me look like Grimace. Men catcall because it’s a gross power move, not because the woman is dressed immodestly.

There are different kinds of abuse, yes. Reading your cheating partner’s emails isn’t, outside of a pattern of intimidation and control, one of them. Reading your cheating partner’s emails in order to justify leaving him after he’s choked you certainly isn’t one of them. You don’t have the authority to tell a victim

It was her OWN computer.

It was her computer!

Cline does not “admit to having been an abusive partner.” She admits to behavior you view as abuse and she does not. Defining “abuse” as a twenty-year-old putting keystroke-recording software on her own computer, which her thirty-three-year-old partner sometimes used, so that she could establish that he was cheating

She describes herself as biracial. She is therefore acknowledging that she is part Black. What is so difficult to understand about this? She doesn’t need the black community to claim her. She’s already acknowledged who she is, and I don’t see what makes us qualified to tell this woman that she’s not black.

You don’t read very well, so I’m not sure how much clarity you’re going to get out of my response but here goes.....

Dodai Is Leaving the Office

It’s the end of an era. Today is Dodai Stewart’s last day as Editor-in-Chief of Splinter. She leaves the site and

Batten the hatches, incoming white feminist swarm. Set condition Becky throughout the blog.

Please don’t do this.

Oh please. Every community does this. Yet you have a problem with some black people sticking up for ourselves? You are very consistent.

Strong disagree. I believe Ta-Nehisi Coates pointed this out recently. It is really really easy to not sing along to that word. Like super easy. While black people have to constantly police what they say at the risk of being seen as angry or hostile or whatever.

And just look at the white and otherwise non-Black people telling us how we should feel, and how intentions matter, and how if they can’t say it, nobody should say it. Look at ‘em all. Literally:

and Karlie Kloss is, once again, involved in a racism controversy. Surprise. She and her best friend White Aryan Princess Taylor Swift are sure perfect for each other.

Kendrick Lamar should win and Bruno Mars will win.
