I’m not saying it’s a small thing, but pointing out that the most “surface” parts of the album is all people are focusing on and they are missing legit gems, truths, lashings, growth, and lessons.

I think you might be taking his words too literally, it’s a figure of speech “I’ll fuck up a good thing if you let me” meaning given the opportunity (given of course being used passively) he’ll fuck up, not “if you enable me, I’ll fuck up”.

So he should just shut up and rap?

Yeah, I think it’s more of a catchy reference to Future/Ciara/Russell Wilson than him literally saying he doesn’t want that to happen. I think he’s just saying, “I don’t wanna end up like Future, watching this dude that’s infinitely better than me having the great family I could have had if I weren’t a fuckboy.”

I heard it differently. Especially when the album includes themes of silencing the ego and taking responsibility of one’s actions and apologizing.

Uh, did you listen to Lemonade? Beyonce doesn’t diss Becky at all, just references her. It’s all about the deep betrayal from Jay-Z and then the eventual redemption and forgiveness. I haven’t heard Jay-Z’s song yet, but the lyrics shared were him talking to himself and placing the blame squarely on his own self.

Jay has me shook. The album is genuinely really good. No I.D. did the damn thing with the production and Jay is not only rapping about something of substance, but he’s not holding back either.

You have to be aware that the girl’s name isn’t actually Becky...no one is that dense.

The entire Lemonade album would beg to differ that Beyonce isn’t holding Jay-Z accountable.....

Um, I think “Becky” is a representation of all the women he’s cheated with, not just one.

Uh, Becky tried to get cute on Instagram right after Lemonade dropped with some “good hair don’t care” bullshit, got dragged to hell and read for filth, and then deleted her Instagram citing “bullying.”

Aww, that’s sweet! Good for Jay and Mama Carter.
