Go Jeep Go!

She bounced when he sold the nice XJ. Which one is your DD David? You surely work from home and have test vehicles all the time no? My XJ could be bought if you need dependable transportation. It has carried me to work every single day without fail for about 6000 miles so far. It may reduce your stress level, I’m just

David is likely single.

Sad, now nobody here can craigslist purchase them 15 years from now......

Wait, I lied to everyone. I helped a friend back in high-school rebuild the carburetor on his dads 47 CJ2A. He let me roll around town in it after I got it running.

1964 Plymouth Fury, 383 4bbl 4 speed, without a windshield to the glass shop when it was 10 degrees outside. Engine was untouched as was the rest of the car/rust free. We went through mechanical parts to ensure safety. Man, that thing ran really well for being completely original.

Damn David, sounds like a rough weekend. Note; any time I know I will be working on something in a few weeks I go out and spray all associated fasteners with liquid wrench. A few weeks worth of pre soaking does wonders. I even do that crap on my newer cars because I hate broken bolts.

I don’t WANT an autonomous car. I am perfectly fine with driving myself.

I am a big Chrysler fan despite Fiats attempts to put itself out of business.

No, there were 3 different 911 models early on. T,E,S. T was the lowest HP/Performance, E in the middle, and S at the top behind the RS cars.

That Miura though. Back when I was 16 or so I had my 73 911T at the local exotic service joint. I walked out after dropping it off and outside sat a red over gold Miura SV. Little did I know at the time but I thought man, that is a fabulous looking car. GT-40 ish looking.

The allure of AI is consistency (safety on the highway). I do have eyes and I did read about the AI race car wreck. Point being, when the technology is good enough it will operate the same all the time in theory (maybe someone will throw a banana peal on the track Mario Cart style). The technology is not there yet,

Wow every comment. Did I say in my post the cars would turn identical lap times? Nowhere did I say that. The laps will essentially look the same. It isn’t driving as close to the limit as the human driver obviously so there will be less variables because it isn’t at the limit of grip producing quickest lap times.

#1 way to make the public less interested in racing, let the cars drive themselves. Same laps every time? No wrecks? Sounds extra fun.....

Yo David, I am only about 45minutes to an hour south of Lafayette Indiana. I don’t have any CJ2A parts lying around but I have a super nice truck that carries lots of tools well and some skilled veteran wrenching hands.

Who cares, the cost would be just a little more than one you can buy for home and the weight would be negligible when you factor in the ability to charge anywhere using a standard 110 or 220 outlet.

Much better looking and probably way more likely to be seen in the hands of consumer than a FF. Much cooler name too.

I am confused why quick chargers are not included on-board an EV. This would alleviate most of the issue of charging stations. Roll up to any old gas station, plug into normal 220 plug, charge car.

Looks like the current Volt.

The Alfa and the Fiat will be collectible because hardly anyone will buy them against competition. Vet, well thats a Vet. The truck will be a popular 16 year old’s first car like a yellow S10 ZR2.
