Chevy used the Cowl Induction setup. It was also vacuum signaled in that it would open up when it sensed a vacuum loss of a specific value when you matted the go pedal.

Air Grabber is a throw back to the late 60s-early 70s. The coolest ever coined an Air Grabber was in 1970. It had a vacuum actuated mechanism that could raise or lower the scoop.
It looks like a pissed off cartoon bird. The kind that has a beak but also a human mouth with teeth and all.
Right, I do all of my own service. My truck is getting to the age where it will need to be pulled apart for a day or two for some services. I lived the last 5 years with only one vehicle. I picked up an XJ DD this fall knowing that I need wheels sometimes while working on the truck. Always had extra cars but my…
I ask myself every day how (even making quite a large salary) anyone can justify buying a truck that costs 60k (or even 45K for that matter) when you can buy something 2 years old for significantly less.
That’s why they build the AWD GT Challenger in the V6 only. For Challengers, the V6 cars are the sales kings. They wanted to service the widest group of buyers of that vehicle.
Agreed, makes him look like some jackwagon and makes all American looks as such.
Yep, nearly all of the issues with my was once pretty and new truck were caused be people other than me. I picked up a nice little XJ that has some bumps and bruises so I won’t be as concerned about parking spots and other idiots running into me at random.
Ahh, my bad. Yeah still underside pics though.
Yeah, I’ve never bought a car without a decent look under it. Travel with a jack and a creeper in the truck when going on excursions to buy.
18 + Girlfriend + Kid = obviously uses excellent decision making abilities.
That’s actually the best thing I’ve seen all week, Excellent.
Right
Every station I have been to in NY doesn’t have an auto lever. All my out east buddies know the tricks of a chap stick tube to hold the handle or sticking their gas cap into the handle area.
Sweet, I would be interested to see the longevity. Good luck! Hard not to be interested in a car that new at that little cost. If you have to scrap it in 5 years it’s only costing you less than $1,500 per year prior to subtracting anything you save on fuel and lower maintenance costs.
Awesome, I am sure this will be a big deal going forward and make specific apartments that offer this service much more marketable in urban areas.
Very cool, still in the growing stages. Honestly, an EV makes perfect sense as my DD. Sadly, the only one that I like the looks of is Tesla and that is 100% counter productive at the cost of one of those. My weekends do not make sense for an EV, but as long as I had a fast car to beat on and my truck for towing and…
Right, all gas station nozzles fit into every current car. Could you imagine if you stopped for gas at a station and none of the nozzles would fit into your tank?
Cool, your tax credit will cover your charging equipment. No thanks.
Yessss.
